  For some reason, this reminds me of Vie & Belle, one of the scents I least tolerate, so I hated it instantly. I couldn’t detect any flowers, sandalwood, or anything else—just a sweet vanilla with a fruity accord I can’t place. The longevity and sillage on me were also poor. I guess I just didn’t have the chemistry with this fragrance, something that sometimes happens with Montale scents.

  Without comparing it to Vie & Belle or reviewing the notes, Diamond Flowers feels super feminine, woody, vanilla-scented, and fruity. On my nose, sandalwood dominates along with a red fruit like raspberry (without acidity), a touch of vanilla, and a faint rose. It’s intense and versatile for any occasion. The only season that doesn’t work for me is summer, as it can be very heavy. I’d recommend it for women 20 and up; it’s feminine, elegant, casual, and cozy. It’s not a one-of-a-kind fragrance, but its projection and longevity are standout.
