Caramel is the star here, not the fig. It could easily be mistaken for pumpkin pie. It’s excessively sweet, slightly warm, with a linear scent profile and a soft sillage. The longevity is moderate. It’s a repetitive scent; I was expecting something more refined and elaborate.
😴The star here is the caramel, not the fig. It could easily be mistaken for pumpkin pie. Overly sweet, slightly warm, with a linear scent that lacks distinct phases. The trail is soft and the longevity is moderate. It’s a bit of a common fragrance; I was expecting something more refined and complex.
I was expecting so much more from an Absolute. It smells like candy, fruity, and excessively sweet. The fig is barely noticeable. In the end, it reminds me of other Marc Jacobs scents like Daisy Wild. I was hoping for something more opulent and nocturne; it’s nothing like that. I’ll finish testing the sample and I don’t think I’ll buy it; it doesn’t offer anything new.
I absolutely hate that animal touch. Don’t let the jasmine note fool you; it doesn’t smell floral. It has jasmine absolute, suede, patchouli, geranium, and vanilla, but the result is just vanilla skin, not flowers. It smells sensual, dark, unisex, and mature, but it’s not my style. It smells like an indie designer fragrance, very different from the typical Marc Jacobs. After a few hours, it becomes more vanilla than leather, and the patchouli comes through more, but it still doesn’t work for me.
I’m really surprised by how many people react to it; it must just be a matter of taste. Today is my favorite perfume. I agree that caramel dominates the fig and it ends up being more vanilla than floral, but that’s exactly what draws me in. I think this is how a unisex should be: adaptable to both styles, perfect for night, sexy, long-lasting, and a bit as bold as its bottle. Maybe it’s not the best from the brand, but it’s my favorite because it evokes elegance, a sweet, flirtatious touch without being erotic, a perfect middle ground between florals, woods, and amber, with a playful childish hint that keeps it from being too serious.
Smells absolutely delicious, sweet but not gourmand, very sexy and nocturne, even with an animal edge. It’s incredibly attractive and totally different from Marc Jacobs’ usual florals or greens; this is on another level. Perfect for going out at night, it’s addictive and works all year round: not too heavy for summer, not too light for winter.
I’ve been wearing this for a couple of days and I’m obsessed—it’s an absolute beast of a fragrance. I love that sexy, dark vibe, especially the caramel note which is super prominent; the animal touch gives it exactly the edge I was looking for.
