  It’s an interesting perfume because, despite having spices, resins, and woods, it feels fresh and aquatic. Citrus and juicy opening, medium woody and slightly mentholated middle, and a spicy, dry drydown. It has character and isn’t generic, perfect for unisex and versatile, with good longevity and projection. I used it a lot until the aquatic notes started to bother me, reminding me of ‘sea breeze’ air fresheners. I finished the bottle and wanted to buy it again, but it had already been discontinued.

  Le Bateleur is from Dolce & Gabbana’s Anthology collection; it’s fresh, woody, with marine notes. The opening is rich, featuring a rare blend of citrus and something sweet like jam that doesn’t show up on Fragrantica but is definitely noticeable. Over time, it becomes sweet and sour, like tamarind candy, and salty, like the sea. Then it stays pretty much the same. It’s great for hot days, very summery, with that typical Mediterranean vibe Italians have; in fact, it reminded me of Versace Man Eau Fraiche. It lasted over 12 hours, though with weak projection.

  It’s the typical summer scent. Pleasant for hot weather, but nothing surprising. Not much projection.
