I always have trouble noticing the citrus because here the wood and musk take the show; I know several Chypres and this one is worthy. I haven’t used it much so I won’t ramble, but it smells great.
It smells nice and I liked it, but honestly, it smells exactly like a casino office air freshener. It’s not the player area with cigar smoke and people; it’s more like a reserved manager’s office. That’s the vibe.
The scent is pleasant and I liked it, but it smells exactly like a casino office with air freshener, not the player’s area with cigar and people scents. Rather, it’s like a reserved manager’s office cubicle.
Let me clarify that Las Vegas by Cuba Paris has nothing to do with Hugo Boss Red, as people say around here. I own both, and Hugo doesn’t share a single note with this. On the contrary, it’s closer to Davidoff’s Champion, which shares two of its three key notes: oakmoss and bergamot. Since I also own Champion, I tested everything, and I even compared it with Kenneth Cole’s Black, which I initially thought might have some relation.
It starts off great and festive. The mossy patchouli feels rich, and the woody notes kick in quickly. The downside is that once it dries down, the trail takes a massive hit and the scent becomes unappealing, smelling like a car air freshener or bathroom spray. It’s synthetic, reminiscent of some dental offices: astringent and medicinal, like benzene. You know the deal—it smells like the room where a business (hotel, hospital, restaurant) stores its cleaning and disinfecting supplies. This one is only suitable as a gift for an unpretentious nephew.
It starts very well, festive, with a rich mossy patchouli and the woods making a quick appearance. The downside is that as it dries, the sillage drops a huge notch and the scent becomes unappealing, smelling like a car air freshener or bathroom spray. Soft, fresh, and slightly sweet, it’s incredibly similar to the Hugo Boss Bottled dry-down. I thought it couldn’t be the same, but it is. I’d describe it as soft, sweet, and woody. Works great for daily wear or climate-controlled environments; it’s perfect for the office because it’s elegant, and also for meetings or casual outings. Super affordable price for a well-crafted scent that’s close to the skin and lasts about 6 hours. I’ve gotten tons of compliments, which I didn’t expect given its short sillage. Ideal for those over 25 for a formal character. If you like soft perfumes or want something budget-friendly that smells expensive, in the style of Hugo Boss B, with similar performance, it’s a great option.
Soft, fresh, and with a touch of sweetness, it smells almost identical to Hugo Boss Bottled when dry, impossible! It’s elegant, perfect for the office or casual outings. Affordable price, smells expensive, and is close to the skin with about 6 hours of longevity. I’ve received many compliments for its short sillage. Ideal for those over 25 if you’re looking for something formal and soft or budget-friendly that smells expensive.
I own Cuba Las Vegas and Hugo Boss Bottled. In my opinion, they’re about 90% identical. Rich, old-school elegant scent. Perfect for a night out.
I own both Vegas and Hugo Boss Bottled, and in my opinion, they’re more than 90% the same. It smells delicious, old-school elegant style. Perfect for a night out, awesome!
Grab this fragrance, it’s definitely over 90% similar to Boss Bottled 1998. At first, it smells synthetic, but within minutes it fades, revealing notes of apple, cinnamon, and cloves. Lasts about two hours on the skin, then lingers in a personal bubble for another 5 or 6 hours. For the price, you can’t afford not to have it in your collection. Perfect for nighttime wear, rainy days, or air-conditioned offices.

I used this when I was 11 or 12 going to elementary school. I bought it blindly and don’t remember the exact scent, but it was easy to wear and nothing outdated.
