Descripción
Close to me by Gonzel is an aromatic fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2021, it was created by perfumer Nina Lamaison. The olfactory pyramid unfolds with top notes of lavender, lime, and blackberry; a heart of lily of the valley, neroli, violet, and sea salt; and a base evoking caramel, cedar, woody notes, tonka bean, and incense.

Good perfume, nothing to envy from a designer brand.
This was a blind buy supporting the Argentine industry, specifically Gonzalo and Nina. Fortunately, the fragrance surprised me greatly. In my opinion, it vibrates like the Eros EDT, but with a fresh, slightly sweet lime that never gets cloying. The longevity is very acceptable, lasting 5 to 6 hours with a nice trail and presence. The presentation is lovely, with a wooden cap that makes you feel like you’re holding a unique object. I take off my hat to a perfume made in-house that ends up costing around $35. I hope a third batch comes out, because I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again. 5/10 good perfume.
It’s rich, versatile, and perfect for daytime wear, whether you’re relaxing, working, or heading to the beach. At first, it smells like those hard lemon candies from Arcor, then it transforms into dulce de leche with a touch of soft wood and a fruity hint, like peach. Longevity is 4 to 6 hours, depending on the occasion. Great job by Gonzel.
I like it a lot and so do others. I wore it for Sunday outings and to the office, and it always performed well. In terms of projection and longevity, it’s a 9 out of 10. It’s a compliment bomb. For me, it’s for autumn, winter, and maybe spring. If you’re in Argentina and can get your hands on it, do it; it’s a great option for gifting or treating yourself, it never fails.
Nice perfume, nothing to envy from a designer brand.
Added: the packaging is very nice! The wooden cap gives it a distinctive, artisanal touch. The only downside is that the cap comes off very easily and it’s dangerous.
Everyone knows Fragantica is the Wikipedia of perfumes, so for non-Argentines: ‘Close to Me’ by Gonzel is pure gold. For now, it’s only available locally, but it’s coming to more countries soon. On my skin, it starts with a peachy note (even if it’s not an official ingredient, it’s a magical blend). After 15 minutes, it explodes into intense lavender and caramel that lasts until the very end. It reminds me of Gaultier’s Scandal Pour Homme, but be careful: the caramel here is much more wearable and less intrusive. I get tired of long-lasting caramel scents, so I only wear this in autumn or winter, when it suits the season better. The longevity is insane: on my oily skin, it lasts 8-10 hours, and on clothes, up to 3 days. It’s a must-have in Argentina, where perfumes like this are hard to find. The price is fair; I think Gonzalo wants everyone to enjoy it, not just profit. The perfumer’s work is incredible: testing and reformulating until hitting the exact spot. Let’s celebrate both, keep surprising us.
We all know Fragantica is basically the Wikipedia of perfumes, so for non-Argentines, it’s worth noting that ‘Close to Me’ by Gonzel Perfum is currently a national launch, but according to Gonzalo, it’ll soon be available in more countries. On my skin, it starts with a peachy note—not an official accord, just my perception as ingredients blend. After 15–20 minutes, I only catch flashes of lavender paired with an intense caramel that lingers until the end. It reminds me of Gaultier’s Scandal Pour Homme, but here’s the catch: the caramel isn’t the same. In Scandal, it’s overwhelming; here, it’s more wearable and less jarring. That said, Close to Me gets a bit tiring for me because the caramel becomes fatiguing with heavy use. That’s why I save it for cooler seasons like fall or winter, where the sweetness feels more balanced. The longevity is brutal: on my oily neck skin in cool weather, it lasts 8–10 hours without issue, and on clothes, it can linger for 2–3 days. This is a fragrance you can’t skip—these kind of scents are rare in Argentina, and as an indie creation, the price is totally reasonable. I believe Gonzalo isn’t chasing profit; he wants everyone to enjoy and share these fragrances. Huge respect to the perfumer: following his YouTube channel, I can see creating this wasn’t easy—testing and reformulating until hitting the perfect balance is what a true creator does. Cheers, and keep surprising us with more essences!

Pleasant surprise. Bought blind but trusting the good taste and expertise of this great reviewer who created the fragrance. When I first tried it, I thought it was just another sweet scent, but within a minute of applying it, that idea completely changed. That peach note is very particular; it’s not declared but very present. Nothing like my nearly 50 perfumes in my collection. To give you an idea: a natural, sugared, fresh Daiquiri with a good vodka that gives it that alcoholic but refined touch. Longevity is another surprise: 8 hours on skin easily with good presence, and on clothes it lasts 12 hours or more… 10/10 from my favorites.

Longevity is around 4-6 hours depending on the occasion. A good perfume by Gonzel.
I was very surprised by the longevity, but especially by the scent. On my skin, the lime notes really shine, along with that beautiful violet accord. It’s very easy to wear and always gets compliments, as women love it, and men can wear it just as easily. SCENT: 10, LONGEVITY: 9, PROJECTILE: 8, VERSATILITY: 8, OVERALL: 9.5.

I smelled it on a colleague who supports an entrepreneur, and honestly, it went from average to great. Later I was told that ANMAT banned its sale, which totally disappointed me. I investigated and it was true: ANMAT banned it because the data didn’t match any registered cosmetic and there’s no authorized lab with the name Nina Lamaison.
It’s been listed as a prohibited item by Anmat. Posting about it is just mockery, just like those self-promotion accounts. Google it and you’ll see it’s true. Not very serious.
Included in the latest list of banned products by ANMAT in Argentina. Posting it here is a joke, just like those accounts for self-promotion. Google it and you’ll see it’s true. Not very serious.
A colleague tried it to support an entrepreneur and found it ranged from average to bad. Later we learned Anmat banned its sale, which disappointed me. I confirmed it’s real: Anmat stated the data didn’t match any registered cosmetic and there’s no authorized lab under the name Nina Lamaison.
Very delicious, I tried it a few months ago and honestly, it’s excellent and lasts quite a long time.
What an amazing perfume! Totally unique. It starts with a fruity explosion with a hint of caramel, while the lavender and violet notes are super soft, nothing sharp. The neroli with that salty twist makes it original and different. It works beautifully for both genders: on men, it’s addictive, delicate, and mysterious; on women, it’s super sexy and full of personality. The longevity, projection, and sillage are luxurious. Try it, you won’t regret it.
