I wanted to try it for the popcorn note, but I didn’t like it. The corn note is way too dominant and unpleasant throughout, making it impossible to appreciate the rest. The opening is harsh; in the dry down, you can smell a bit of musk and tonka bean. Maybe it’s the heat, almost 40 degrees in Madrid (June 24), but right now I don’t want to smell like someone dumped sweet popcorn on me at the movies. If you love fragrances with strong roasted nut notes or salty accords, or if you just love smelling like someone’s making popcorn at the cinema, give it a try. Average longevity and projection. It smells like a bag of microwave buttered popcorn. Nauseating at first sniff.
Smells like a microwave butter popcorn bag. Unbearable at first sniff.
I was eager to try this fragrance because of the popcorn note, but I didn’t like it—tested and not approved. The popcorn note is overwhelmingly unpleasant throughout the entire wear, preventing me from appreciating the other notes well. The opening is harsh and strong; in the dry down, you can faintly detect the musk and tonka bean. I don’t know if it’s the heat, almost 40 degrees in Madrid (June 24), but right now I don’t feel like smelling like someone threw sweet popcorn on me at the movies. If you love fragrances with strong roasted nut notes with salt, or if you’d love to smell like you’re making popcorn in the cinema café all day, give it a try. Average longevity and projection. Oh, what a funny perfume. It’s a whole olfactory experience. Why? Because I’d never tried a scent smelling like Cheetos before. I put it on the back of my hand and the sensation was like I’d been eating Cheetos and that typical smell that sticks to your fingers after sucking them off. As it dries, it loses a bit of that sensation and becomes more ‘pretty’. Hey, I found it curious and even plan to pick it up sooner or later. It’s a fantasy to imagine I’m a Cheeto with legs and you stick around people as you pass by xD. Very original!
First Impression: I approached to test it because of that popcorn note that caught my attention. After spraying it, that’s the only thing you can perceive: popcorn that’s way too potent, rough, and artificial. I literally had to rush to take it off my skin. I don’t know who could like this… I don’t think it’s even suitable as a room freshener.
Oh, what a funny perfume. Let’s see, it’s quite an olfactory experience. Why? Because I’ve never tried a scent that smells like Cheetos before. I sprayed it on the back of my hand, and the sensation was like having just eaten Cheetos—that typical smell that lingers on your fingers after licking them. In the dry down, it loses a bit of that sensation and becomes more ‘pleasant.’ Hey, I found it curious and am even considering picking it up sooner or later. It’s a fantasy to imagine I’m a Cheeto with legs, and it leaves people staring as you pass by xD Very original!
It’s a jumbo bottle of pure popcorn, and for me, it was a total hit because the Cheirosa fell short; this CM is powerful and doesn’t just last for hot days. The moment I smelled it, I knew it was mine.
Well, yes, it’s totally a giant tub of popcorn, and for me it was in the best way possible, since the Cheirosa fell short. This CM is definitely powerful and not for hot days. As soon as I smelled it, I knew I wanted it.
It smells like a fun olfactory experiment, but I wouldn’t buy it. It smells like those bagged popcorn hybrids that are part worm and part popcorn. I don’t know how it develops because I didn’t dare wear it on my skin, but if you’re looking for popcorn scent, Cheirosa 71 with salted caramel and nuts is way more worth it, even though it has nothing to do with this one.
Very fun as an olfactory experience, but personally I wouldn’t buy it. It definitely smells like popcorn, those in the bag, a hybrid between gummy worms and popcorn. I don’t know how it evolves because I didn’t dare put it on my skin, but if you’re looking for a popcorn scent, Cheirosa 71 with salted caramel and nuts is well worth it, even though it has nothing to do with this.
On the plus side, I can say that even though I washed my arm, rubbed it with soap and antibacterial gel, the scent didn’t come off until several hours after a shower. On the minus side: everything. It’s a terrible perfume. I never imagined saying a perfume seemed horrible to me because I thought they all had some charm, but this one does. It’s quite an unpleasant aroma.
When you see the notes, you think: it could be amazing. The reality? I smelled it months ago, straight from the bottle, and I promise I’ve never heard of an opening this nauseating; it literally smelled like sweaty socks in the summer. I had to walk away after two seconds. I waited to see if it would change as it dried, but the rancid butter scent wouldn’t go away. So it seems like ‘an olfactory experience’ but nothing more. I don’t know what Zara was thinking to release a perfume like this; it has nothing to do with the niche market. A true olfactory experience could be Sadonaso by Nasomatto, but this Zara one is an absolute disaster. I still don’t understand how others liked it; it seems my nose hasn’t reached that level.
This is absolutely disgusting. The opening is so vomit-inducing that I have no idea how it evolves.
I think I’ll be the first positive review here, haha. I liked the perfume on its own; it reminds me a lot of the Happy Birthday body mist by BBW but with extra butter. However, I think it’s ideal for layering with another scent; it would be a great complement if you’re looking to boost another gourmand aroma.
What a disgusting thing. The opening is so vomit-inducing that I don’t know how it evolves.
I don’t understand why others find it nauseating; smell is subjective… but I absolutely love it and it lasts quite a while, so I’ll be buying it again when I finish this 🤭.
This fragrance was a very pleasant surprise; I bought it after testing it in the store and loved it. It’s a very unusual scent. The smell described as popcorn is more of a very milky, sweet butter—it feels caramelized and very warm, almost you can feel it’s greasy and velvety thanks to the cashmere. It’s truly a delight, very well executed in a creative and unconventional way. If you have the opportunity and are looking for an unconventional gourmand, I highly recommend it, especially for the very low price.
I don’t get why people call it horrible or nauseating; every nose is different… but I love it and it lasts a long time, so I’ll be buying another when this one runs out 🤭
What a pleasant surprise! I bought it after testing it in-store and loved it. It’s a very unusual scent: what they describe as popcorn is actually a milky butter, sweet and caramelized, very warm. It feels velvety thanks to the cashmere, almost greasy. It’s a delight, very well-executed and creative. If you’re looking for an unconventional gourmand, I highly recommend it for the low price.
It smells incredibly sweet; at first, it’s chocolate, especially white, with hints of butter, musk, and praline. In the dry down, a floral sap emerges. It’s extremely sweet, but it didn’t bother me. It doesn’t last long, has a strong sillage, but it fades quickly.
It smells absolutely crazy sweet, especially white chocolate right out of the bottle, with hints of butter, musk, and praline. As it dries down, it takes on a floral sap-like quality. It’s super sweet but not annoying to me. The sillage is wide, though the trail doesn’t last very long.
