Another from Goutal, but this Etoile d Une Nuit feels much drier and more powdery, especially in the vanilla and iris. On my skin, the jasmine adds a slightly dirty touch, like cumin. There’s an acidic aftertaste (I assume from blackberry), but overall, it didn’t work for me. It’s warm and suits a woman on cool days for semi-formal events. I find it more mature and reminiscent of other powdery scents. The contrast with the brand’s femme fatale perfumes is stark; for me, this one isn’t. Rating: 5.5/10, tested with an official sample.

It’s like a second skin. Dry and powdery with a subtle sweetness. Wearing it is pure joy. Yes, I wish it projected more, but that scent that seems to come from your own skin makes it even more endearing.

On my skin, I don’t detect the citrus top notes or even smell them. Yes, there’s rose and violet, though very delicate. Immediately it smells like talc and dry woods. I love it. Wish it had more projection and sillage. The longevity is great on skin and clothes. It smells like high-end makeup. If you like this line, buy it blind. When it runs out, I’ll repurchase.
