I laugh at those who claim Nio is the top niche citrus, because Acqua Viva by Profvmvm Roma beats it effortlessly. They probably haven’t tried Aubres, but that’s not their fault. It’s a rare perfume for the price and because it’s discontinued; it was exclusive to Fortnum & Mason. It starts with clean elemi and lavender that almost leans fougère, but the citrus dominates: juicy, marked, and super natural. Unlike others that fade in an hour, these are still there at 3-4 hours. They’re the stars over a backdrop of elemi and lavender; there’s incense, but you don’t notice it, so don’t worry if you’re not into it. It’s a masterpiece by Xerjoff, perfect for heat and easy to wear. For me, it’s the best citrus I’ve ever smelled and one of the brand’s best—truly wonderful! 🌟
