Hi! I’m new here, although I was already reading your reviews. Today I decided to write. I received the order with two new perfumes: I’m in love with one and a bit disappointed with the other (that’s the thing with blind buys). I didn’t know Lalique, I chose Le Parfum based on Raquel73’s reviews, with whom I agree on tastes; she’s also addicted to the old Dior Addict (the first version, which was heaven, nothing like the current one). I almost cried when I sprayed it; I’d been looking for something like this for a long time, and it’s the most wonderful thing I’ve smelled in years and will become my staple. The most surprising thing: high quality for less than €30, compared to the money I spent on elixirs from big brands that weren’t even a shadow of what they were. With Amethyst, I didn’t have the same spark; it wasn’t what I expected. It’s not a bad perfume, but it reminds me of Lancome’s Miracle and an era that doesn’t bring me good memories. Also, it doesn’t respond well on my skin; I expected something woodier. I hesitated between classic Amethyst and Exquise; I chose the classic for summer, afraid the other would be too intense since it has orchid instead of peony, I think I made a mistake. I’ve searched and can’t find reviews for Exquise; does anyone know it? What’s the difference? Hi, I hope to learn a lot here 🙂
It’s one of the most beautiful perfumes I’ve ever smelled, different. It smells like fruit but without sugar, not sweet, green with its stems… very soft, pure, angelic. It’s not powerful, but you notice it all the time with the same softness. It’s always present and super pleasant; I don’t think anyone would hate it. It’s worth trying, especially with the price. I discovered it thanks to a Maiori sample, thanks for introducing me to such a beautiful aroma 😘
I consider it a good perfume with excellent longevity and sillage. It’s very linear; I don’t notice opening or dry-down phases, it always smells the same. It works for any season and for day or night. It’s very versatile. Although the aroma, extremely fruity with red fruits, isn’t really my thing. If anyone is interested, I’d like to swap it. I know there are many lovers who will enjoy it more than I do. Best regards.
It’s a gem with red fruits. For me, tart blue-blackberries dominate at first, then the woods come through. It smells coquettish, refined, and sparkling, putting you in a good mood. It has a soft sweet point that balances the acidity. It’s different from what you find today. The downside is that it lasts 3-4 hours with soft to moderate sillage, but I don’t mind reapplying because it’s so pretty. It doesn’t bother anyone, perfect for work, the movies, or going out. I love it!
For me, this is a pure olfactory experience: it smells like a forest, blackberries with their green stems freshly picked, and a river where you wash the fruit. It brings back flashbacks of my childhood making jam. If you’re looking for a natural blackberry scent, unsweetened, clean-smelling, versatile, and sophisticated, this is the one. Totally different from the market. Soft projection, lasts 6-7 hours on skin and longer on clothes. I’m thrilled. 9/10.
I bought it blind, and despite it being magnificent with notable and pleasant longevity and sillage, the scent isn’t for me; I expected something sweeter. It’s very fresh, floral, suitable for any season and occasion, elegant and sophisticated. At 22, it feels too mature for me, especially since I prefer gourmand scents. If anyone is interested, I’d love to swap or sell it. I have a new 100ml version and I live in Spain.
Highly recommended, simple and beautiful like its bottle, which I find gorgeous, and the packaging too. The scent is suitable for daytime: it’s a bit warm at first, but then becomes floral and creamy, always fresh, elegant, and soothing. It’s easy to enjoy. Sillage is moderate and longevity isn’t very high, around 2 hours, but I was surprised by its quality at such an accessible price.
Ideal for spring and autumn thanks to the berries. The sillage is short, the projection lasts an hour, and the longevity barely exceeds 5 hours; over time it seems to lose strength, and I notice it less and less, although others detect it more. The scent is all-terrain: informal or elegant thanks to the peony floral touch. For me, it’s a great berry wood bowl bordered by peonies, ylang-ylang, sprinkled with vanilla and musk. It makes me think of Alice in Wonderland; it’s youthful, evokes a magical forest, and would suit anyone who likes fruity, clean, woody florals with a touch of mystery. Just be careful with your skin and try it first 😉
It perfectly captures the feminine floral-fruit family: fresh blackberries with leaves, nothing artificial or overly sweet, plus currants and raspberries, with floral touches of rose and peony that make it super feminine. A deep scent, balanced by freshness and cleanliness; I don’t detect vanilla, woods, or pepper, but they are pleasant companions. It has moderate sillage and longevity, so I reapply it without hesitation for the price. It’s versatile, the bottle is beautiful, and it fits the name ‘Amethyst’ or ‘purple’ perfectly. The more I use it, the more I like it; a blind buy that was spot on.
Amethyst Lalique, so rich. Every time I realize reviews help you know what the perfume is like, not whether you’ll like it, because it smells different on different skin. I’ve read it’s overwhelming or sweet, but on my skin, it’s the opposite: tart, dry wild blackberries, nothing like the gummy blackberries from Yves Rocher, but real fruit with its leaves. I don’t smell the flowers, but I do smell the pepper, which reminds me of Lush but softer. It’s not heavy, the sillage is low and only reaches with a breeze, absolutely delicious. On my skin, Laliques always smell great, with low sillage and last about 4 hours. The price-to-quality ratio is correct: I paid €18.50 for 100ml.
It didn’t work for me, even though it’s a good niche perfume. You need to know your style before buying blind; that was my mistake. I’m not into fruity scents. I do highlight that I love Lalique perfumes for their exquisiteness. It’s original, different, and mysterious, but I repeat: not for blind buys.
At first, I wasn’t sure whether to wear it day or night, but yesterday I wore it to the beach. Nobody said anything when I arrived, but after about 6 hours, two people with me commented that it smelled like freshly applied perfume: over time, the scent intensified and people liked it quite a bit. It’s versatile and has excellent longevity. I would buy it again.
I tried it because of a YouTube review and liked it. It’s very unique, pleasant, and has incredible longevity. Smells like juicy, fresh blackberries, wild fruits with dew. Ylang-ylang and rose add elegance to prevent it from being too fruity. Vanilla sweetens discreetly. It conveys cleanliness, is dry, fresh, and suitable for any day. It’s not very intense or heavy on sillage, but that’s its charm: it seems to come from the skin. It’s different from what I usually wear and surprised me.
Sophisticated and exquisite, intoxicating notes, seductive, long-lasting, and present. Ideal for parties or nights, with its own identity. Congrats to the creators.
Perfect for heat, sparkling and refreshing; the vanilla doesn’t sweeten but softens the acidity of the red fruits.
A wonderful alternative to Parfums de Marly’s Meliora, very similar in scent and performance, but this Lalique one has a very reasonable price for what it offers. It’s a sweet, exquisite fruity fragrance with herbal touches, not intrusive, with medium-low sillage and 4 hours of longevity on my skin. Perfect for work environments or relaxed occasions, especially on hot days.
Bought it as a substitute for Marly’s Meliora because it’s no longer available here, and I must say it’s 98% identical. The opening is super citrusy and sharp, which scared me a bit, but once it dries, it’s wonderfully delicious, just like Meliora, exquisite. I loved it. It lasts about 5 hours (Meliora lasted me 8 to 10), with moderate to low sillage, so it’s not intrusive and perfect for the office or enclosed spaces; it won’t bother anyone. It’s a super good alternative in price and quality, definitely staying in my collection.
My absolute signature scent, I adore it. Smells like blackberry at its biting point, literally; it’s not sweet or sugary, yet so feminine that any woman would love it. On my skin, it lasts forever, 8 to 10 hours, with top-tier projection and sillage. I’m surprised they say it doesn’t last; I soak everything in my path, and it stays on clothes until washing. People compliment it and have even copied it. It’s a beauty.
An exquisite fruity scent, not cloying at all, with a fresh touch. All the berries (except strawberry) are noticeable from the start, followed minutes later by a very elegant and feminine rose and ylang-ylang. I don’t detect peony, vanilla, or woods, just a very wearable musk. Projection is moderate to high for 3-4 hours depending on sprays, and longevity exceeds 8 hours, which is great for the price.
Bought Delina Exclusif and received a sample of Meliora. Since I read that Amethyst is very similar but cheaper, I tried it blind. At first, it smells more ‘green,’ as if cutting juicy red fruits with fresh stems; Meliora is similar but less green. As it dries, Meliora becomes more floral while Amethyst turns more ‘acidic.’ It’s the taste of natural raspberries or blackberries, not artificial sweets that lose their acidity. Are they similar? Yes, they’re sisters: this one is more electric, Meliora more calm. In longevity, Lalique wins because Parfums de Marly had me used to eternal perfumes. For price, if you want Meliora, Amethyst replaces it without issues. But it deserves its own spot and should stop being compared to Meliora. This shines on its own and is worth buying exactly as it is!❤️
Something very weird happened with this perfume. It was a blind buy because I couldn’t find a perfumer carrying it. When I got it, I couldn’t stand the aroma, like those violet candies my grandma always carried in her bag and which I hated! The smell was exactly the same. I put the perfume in a closet and forgot about it. Today I thought maybe it would be a good idea to sell or swap it. So after taking some photos, I decided to take the risk and spray it on my wrist, even though I later had to rush to wash it off. I don’t understand what happened. The perfume has mutated! Now it’s an amazing bathroom soap scent; I perceive a slightly woody rose accompanied by nuts. A wonder. I can’t stop smelling it.
It smells like chemical blackberry, like a blackberry lollipop. The concept is wonderful, but unfortunately, the burst of purple fruits reminds me more of the taste of gummy blackberries than real wild blackberries. I perceive it as very synthetic and sharp. It lacks that softly intense aura of blackberries that sometimes enhance the musk. Here, I notice gummy syrup (the classic red and black ones); being a scent I like, it overwhelms me to use as a perfume. After a while, the dry down works much better, fortunately… but those are the blackberries from txutxes. However, for noses that like that red fruit variant, go ahead and enjoy it.
It has a very natural berry opening with a touch of greenery that lasts a few seconds, then moves to a soft pepper and a flower that in my nose is a delicate rose. The longevity and sillage are moderate, but they develop better on summer nights. I really like the scent and it’s in my top 10.
I love it and its scent defines me, I adore it.
Bought blind… I feel it smells artificial and has nothing special. Dry, like rose with a touch of fresh mint. I like it, but I don’t love it; I’m going to hate it because to me, it smells cheap. Seems like a berry soap or conditioner, which isn’t bad, but nothing you’d want to wear on your skin all day. Plus, it doesn’t last long either. I wouldn’t buy it again.
I was really eager to have it, but it didn’t turn out as expected. The top notes reminded me of something weird, like a fresh spot in the Black Forest, but it passed quickly, leaving a cheap, penetrating perfume smell that lasted hours, then gave way to a caramel scent. I didn’t detect the musk, woods, or bourbon vanilla, nor the red fruits. Just a sweet, penetrating smell that won’t go away even with bleach. It’s not bad quality, but it’s only for those who like very penetrating and flat perfumes. My honest advice: try it on first before buying blind.
It’s acidic; personally, I don’t like it at all. At least it’s less acidic than Zara’s Fashionably London. It’s a tricky scent, not recommended as a gift. At first, it smells like peppermint, then the acidity lingers for an hour, and afterwards, it’s just a skin scent. I bought it for 19€ for 100ml, but if I had paid the regular price, I would have been very upset. If you have cats, don’t recommend it because they can’t stop sneezing when they get close; they find it addictive. I was very disappointed by the good reviews. Edit: After three weeks of using it, it has changed a bit now. It lasts longer, has more sillage, smells less acidic, and floral notes like pink rose are noticeable. The opening is still peppermint with fruits. Now I like it more.
I gifted it to my wife and she loved it because it’s not as sweet as usual perfumes. In short, it’s red fruits that give way to a subtle but present vanilla.
Definitely need to test it before buying. I smell red fruits and a soft background like a red fruit shampoo, but my mom and brother detect an intense note of pepper and woods. It varies a lot depending on whose nose you ask 😅.
Bought it blind and it wasn’t what I expected, but at least it’s not as acidic as people say! Smells clean with red fruits and flowers giving a juicy, mature rose vibe with a musky touch. Lasts quite a bit, but only projects well for the first two hours; afterwards, it becomes a skin scent. Pleasant and balanced, though I find it a bit linear.
I love it, along with Pearls, they’re essential in my vanity. This perfume lasts for months on clothes, even after washing. On my skin it has incredible longevity, it’s wonderful.
Juicy and acidic blackberries made into perfume. You can feel the quality of the ingredients. The longevity is excellent, with those bursts that come back after hours. Amethyst is a must for the back of the closet, ideal for autumn and spring.
I saw it in a YouTube video and liked the research I did. I don’t like smelling like the crowd. I bought it blind and loved it so much that I already have a second bottle. It smells like a temperate forest with mist, pines, and wild blackberries with dew; it’s dark, mysterious, and elegant, almost gothic. It’s acidic, not sweet, like forest fairies. It lacks projection and longevity, seems more like a body mist.
Disappointing for an EDP. The opening is brutal, but by the hour the perfume has vanished. Not even a cologne lasts so little time.
I was looking for complex blackberries, nothing like those artificial sorbets from single-serve packs. I loved the discontinued Yves Rocher for that acidic and fresh touch, not cloying. I bought Amethyst Lalique blind, and although it doesn’t smell like blackberries as I expected, it’s a pleasant surprise: notes of cranberries, flowers, and clean moss. If you’re tired of smelling like everyone else, it’s a great option.
I’ve never heard anything like this! It’s a beauty, you have to understand it like the Amethyst by Lalique. An aroma that transports you. Pity the duration isn’t better, because otherwise it would be a total bomb.
I bought this perfume in autumn and winter and it didn’t convince me… but now that it’s hot, it smells like a clean, fresh soap. I love it; I feel clean even in the heat. Ahhh, definitely every perfume has its season.
I’ve been searching for a fragrance that defines me, unique and mysterious, and I found it by chance. Since then, it’s my signature, whether for summer or the most intense nights, always with that amethyst base. It’s long-lasting and very personal; my acquaintances recognize me by the scent, and all my friends want to know what I’m wearing. It’s my secret and part of my essence. Spectacular and unique!
I bought it after wanting it for a long time; it smells like red fruit shampoo, doesn’t evolve much, and has a very marked green note. I like it, it lasts quite a while, but it’s not for everyday wear because it can be overpowering.
Just bought it and it’s a gorgeous perfume, slightly talc-like with a 100% red fruit aroma; it doesn’t evolve much, it’s more flat, but it’s fine because what you smell at the start is what you’ll have forever. I don’t notice the green touch they mention as much, and it lasts about 5-6 hours with moderate projection at the beginning. It’s affordable, but I don’t think I’ll repurchase; I’ll try it in spring to see if I like it more.
