I bought it blind and it has nothing to do with the original Amethyst, which smells super natural and elegant. I was really let down. This Amethyst Éclat is neither elegant, formal, nor discreet. It gave me a headache, and I had to shower to get rid of it. It smells like an overly concentrated mix of perfumes from the late 90s and early 2000s.
I bought this thinking it would be a good dupe for Lancôme’s Tresor Midnight, but it fell short. The scent is quite different from the original. Definitely not a dupe. Lasts a maximum of three hours with decent projection, but then it clings to the skin. It smells good, just nothing extraordinary.
At first, it reminds me of Feerie, but as it dries down, it starts to recall Parisienne. Beautiful perfume. Spectacular for someone like me who doesn’t get along with citrus but needs something calming for summer. Reviews said it smelled like soap, but that’s not true; it smells like berries—refreshing and clean, not cloying. I loved it, worth owning both the classic and the Éclat.
A sweeter Amethyst without that soapy part. It left me indifferent in winter, but in spring with more heat, it seemed much nicer. Thanks for the tip @MarinaEtoile! The red fruits and musky base stand out more. I also notice a powdery floral touch reminiscent of violets or lilacs. I find similarities with YSL’s Parisienne family. It could be a good alternative for those who dislike the vinyl note, as it’s not present here. It has moderate sillage and lasts 5-6 hours on my skin. Pleasant above 20 degrees, but it lacks the magic of the other perfumes it resembles. Scent 6.5/10, Longevity 5.5/10, Sillage 6.5/10, Value 6/10, Versatility 4/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy again? No.
I bought it blind and liked the notes. I must confess, I tried it in winter and it felt bland, insignificant, and volatile. Recently, with warmer temperatures, I gave it another chance and it ended up winning me over. It’s definitely a discreet perfume, but that slightly powdery dry-down and those small violet accords do their job and are noticeable. Ideal for everyday wear, especially in spring-summer. For the price, it’s a great value.

Blind buy. I adore Lalique Amethyst and Nathalie Lorson is one of my favorite perfumers, so I expected to love it. But what a surprise when I first smelled it… it reminded me of something familiar I already owned. Nothing more, nothing less than the discontinued limited edition ‘Chris 1947’ by Christian Dior. It was created 20 years ago to commemorate the brand, alongside the also-discontinued ‘Lilly Dior’. They disappeared from stores at the speed of light. They were beautiful. Well, this Eau de Parfum Amethyst Éclat reminds me a lot of the first one. They’re not identical, but very similar, especially at the start. The most surprising thing is that they don’t share notes. I’m very happy with the purchase. It’s a fruity floral perfume, very sweet but not overwhelming. It has an interesting powdery touch that adds elegance, and at the same time feels youthful and sparkling.
It opens with red fruits where blackcurrant stands out first, followed by raspberry; this part also carries a floral note similar to lilacs. After about twenty minutes, more flowers emerge, especially peony, and it stays fresh and delicate. It’s nice, but feels diluted (though the scent isn’t soft). Maybe for busy days where you don’t want something heavy but also not something super soft or citrusy. Longevity 2-4 hours, moderate to low sillage.

I can’t believe I’m the first to describe this gorgeous fragrance… EXQUISITE, DRUNKEN, SUBTLE, AND SOPHISTICATED. It’s a fragrance I discovered by chance; I wanted the traditional Lalique perfume recommended to me as very good, and my supplier had this one, so I bought it without testing it. OOOHHHH SURPRISE!… a very delicate and feminine perfume. Nothing superfluous or artificial. It’s a perfume where you can feel the fruits in their pure state. Rich blackcurrants and raspberries mixed with a sort of wildflowers, I’d say… it reminds me of summer forests in the Patagonian cordillera. It’s a fragrance between fresh and warm. It has something special that makes it very feminine. It’s not a citrus or fruity cologne-type perfume; it’s a proper perfume with all the letters. I haven’t found anything like it. It must be the musk that gives it that warm touch. I recommend it for all seasons. Its sillage and longevity are moderate. I’d prefer it to last longer and have a wider sillage, as it’s almost weak on my skin. But since I love it, I reapply it as many times as needed. If anyone knows a similar fragrance with better longevity, please recommend it. Thanks.
