I love the original Amethyste version, especially its dry-down. Many say it has poor longevity, but in my case, it’s the opposite. However, this Exquise doesn’t quite convince me; it lacks the phases of the original, feeling much flatter and duller. To me, it just smells like sweet red fruits with no evolution or complexity. Oh! And in terms of intensity and sillage on my skin, it’s much worse than the original (and on top of that, more expensive 😉
I bought it blindly based on good reviews. For me, a total flop. It smells literally like blackberry caramel. Plus, those are the candies that stick around because nobody wants to eat them. Bad experience with Las Perles and this one. I won’t buy anything from the brand again.
I’m a perfume lover, though sometimes scents don’t work on my skin or I just don’t like them. I went to try Lalique fragrances at the El Corte Inglés in Tenerife on Avenida de 3 de Mayo. The sales associate just stared at me and said, ‘I sell high-end, I sell quality,’ without letting me test anything or get any info, just showing off. Gentlemen at the El Corte Inglés in Santa Cruz, either change that attitude because it’s happened to me twice now, or don’t. I spent 400 euros and you can’t judge someone for being inexperienced in niche perfumery. I won’t be back; terrible experience. Thanks to my friend Lili, an expert, I was able to test several and buy them online. This one didn’t win me over, but the original Amethyste is intoxicating and defines me perfectly, and one in the unemployment line 🙄
It’s sweet and fruity but not cloying. The longevity is decent and the sillage is moderate. It reminds me of the new Halloween Blossom. It’s that ‘no man’s land’ scent: smells rich and pleasant, but doesn’t truly captivate. It’s not annoying or invasive either. In short, pretty and discreet, it goes unnoticed.
