  The box is nice, but the amber is very muted; it adds a masculine touch with incense that smells good, but it’s really for people with lots of money and little perfume experience. Olfactorily, I don’t smell amber at all, just resins in general; if you’re looking for more amber, look elsewhere. Honestly, the main thing about this line is the giant bottles—works of art—and an attempt to make profits with minimal creative effort. It smells like a generic, pretty but irrelevant amber. Despite the price, the performance isn’t even average: it starts fresh and spicy, then turns woody and resinous with a touch of bitter orange that blends with vetiver, pepper, and ginger in the base. After 3 hours, with 2.5 sprays on the body, it fades on my skin. I’m not interested, and it’s getting harder to find anything worth it in this pseudo-niche luxury segment.
