Garanat: the rose is clear and high-quality; the master perfumer creates the sensation of being in a blooming garden. At first, the frankincense (sharp, dry, almost tickles my throat) competes with the rose; I don’t know who wins. Then the rose takes over and is gorgeous, very suitable for men, evoking relaxation and elegance. It dries down dry on me; I would have liked some creaminess, but I acknowledge the mastery: few notes, flower-dominant, a masculine perfume. Regular longevity, high price to buy blind, better to test first.
One of the best roses I’ve tried, high-quality rose over frankincense and amber with an initial sweetness. Over time, only the rose remains, so real you almost feel it. As Jerry Drake says, it’s ideal for men; it’s unisex, but the frankincense gives it a masculine touch. Elegant and sophisticated, perfect for temperate climates, far from today’s sugary scents.
