I picked this up by chance during my Erasmus in ’19, my first time with VS, and decided to try a new brand with this mist. I have no idea what possessed me, because I hate amber and get dizzy from it, yet I wore it like water during my best years in Heidelberg at 21, when I decided to live by instinct and leave behind what others expected of me. Seven years later, everything worked out perfectly: this fragrance led me to my soulmate, even though I almost threw everything away for him. I kept my promise and finished that career I hated. It’s a loud, potent amber, just as strong as Alien, and it lingers on clothes even after washing. The funny thing is, when I carried apples in my backpack, everything eventually smelled like caramelized apples with this splash. I wouldn’t repeat it, but it was a unique and crazy experience.

I bought it by chance at the Erasmus in 2019 when I saw VS products in person for the first time and decided to start with this body mist. I don’t know what came over me because I can’t stand amber 😂, but I took it and used it religiously during that time, which was the best of my life, crazy and intense. I was 21 and decided to take my craziness to the max, following my instincts. I was in Germany, Heidelberg, a dream university city. That year I discovered myself: I promised to finish the degree I hated and start living authentically, without doing what they demanded of me. I’m writing this review 7 years later and what can I say: everything worked out perfectly 🙈✨. This fragrance led me to the guy I fell so hard for that I almost left everything for him 🫣, but luckily I still had my wits about me and kept my promise, my one true love 😂. It’s a very heavy and brash amber; I can’t stand this trail because it makes me dizzy and irritable, but that year I dared. I remember it wouldn’t wash out of clothes after laundering 😂. The good thing is that since I spent a lot of time outside with apples in my backpack, in the end everything smelled of caramelized apples with this splash 😂😂. It seems funny, but I’d never repeat it. I can’t explain the contradictory feeling it gives me, nor why I chose this, but I did and here I am 😂. The amber in this mist is as powerful or more than Alien, for those who love this superpower. The longevity on me and on clothes is impossible to remove; if you want to check it, it’s quite affordable.

It was a gift from a friend and always brings me summer memories. It’s sweet and vanilla with an amber touch, not cloying and very youthful. People have asked me several times what I’m wearing. You can use it all year round and it lasts quite a bit (5-6 hours without issues). If you want it to last longer, I recommend using the body lotion too.

I don’t use much mist due to the short longevity, but this is one of the three I own. If you like sweet scents, here’s the perfect VS combo: Vainilla Lace, Coconut Passion, and Amber Romance. They last me a bit longer than usual. Here are my notes: Vainilla Lace is pure vanilla, the common point with the other two, a staple without a powdery scent. Coconut Passion is creamy coconut with vanilla, sweeter than tropical and warm. Amber Romance is sweet and sugary, softened by vanilla, less milky and cleaner. Sweet and relaxing.

I don’t usually buy or use much body mist or cologne because they don’t last (and the quality isn’t great), but these are three of the only ones I own. If you like sweet scents, here’s the perfect VS combo: Vainilla Lace, Coconut Passion, and Amber Romance. I repeat, it has to be sweet. For me, these are the only ones that last a bit longer than the moment of application. Here are my three thoughts: Vainilla Lace is pure vanilla, the common thread of the other two, a basic scent without any powdery notes. Coconut Passion is a creamy coconut sweetened by vanilla, sweeter than tropical and warm. Amber Romance is a sweet, sugary aroma softened by vanilla, less milky and cleaner. Sweet and relaxing.

I bought it without smelling it properly because it was in the Victoria’s Secret box; right when I was about to pay for another mist, the girl told me that if I grabbed another one, it would be cheaper. Quickly I took the least fruity one (I don’t like fruity scents) and it was this… what good luck! To my nose, it smells just like my signature, Bonbon by V&R, which feels like a second skin. Although Bonbon is more caramel and this is amber, they’re similar. It’s sweet with a fruity top, but the dry down is vanilla, amber, and sandalwood. It lasts 3-4 hours like any mist, with moderate sillage.

It’s not, in my opinion, the best Victoria’s Secret body splash, but the scent is very pleasant, though I expected more… It doesn’t feel sexy to me, nor is it as strong as many people say. I use it at home as a room freshener, pillow mist, and for my loungewear.

GROSS, it makes me nauseous. It’s pure, heavy vanilla, gives me headaches. Seriously, don’t buy it, it’s DISGUSTING. I HATE IT, the person who invented it deserves to die the most cruel way possible. I truly don’t know which ingredient makes it smell so disgusting; it smells exactly as bad as Esika’s Vanilla scent. For a moment, I thought the delicious vanilla from MEOW by Katy Perry would be as rich as all the perfumes’ vanillas, but no, huge mistake. In short, this scent reminds me of when I drink too much alcohol and feel like vomiting.

My favorite of the VS mists. Very sexy and feminine. The first thing you notice is the vanilla, then the amber, and over time a touch of sandalwood emerges. It’s super gourmand, so if you don’t like smelling like a cupcake, you might want to skip this one XD.

I had doubts because no one was saying anything: it’s sweet, but not as much as Coconut Passion or Bare Vanilla. It’s lighter and more wearable, doesn’t resemble those two, so don’t worry about repetition. In terms of sweetness, it’s on par with Velvet Petals, but fresher, with a powdery touch and a bit of musk. Here’s a reference if you haven’t tried it.

Smells a lot like the Lolita Lempicka Eau de Parfum because of that shared cherry note. Nothing like the Estée Lauder Intuition comparisons claim; I bought it for that reason and ended up disappointed. I don’t get the hype. I bought both the lotion and the mist, and they smell like 2010—old and synthetic. You can smell the cherry, but it’s disappointing, especially compared to Lush or Rio de Janeiro’s newer mists; there’s no comparison. It smells like a girl from the 2000s. A friend tried the Coconut Passion and told me it smelled like salt to her, and honestly, it did.
I agree with the previous reviewer: the first impression is pure amber, which isn’t even listed in the notes, then it quickly turns into strong sandalwood. At first, it reminds me of Vie Est Belle or Good Girl, but since it’s a body mist, it settles fast and leaves a sweet, warm trail.
