Just added to my collection thanks to a store closing clearance. In my humble opinion (I’m not an expert on notes), it has nothing to do with Amarige, mainly because the neroli stands out so much. Amarige D’Amour feels more youthful, slightly green with a fruity touch, and much lighter. But I’ve loved it so much.
It’s spectacular. I think it’s the cassia, mimosa, and sandalwood that give it that delicious, soft scent—fresh from the cassia with a subtle sandalwood base that keeps it from being too woody. I’m hooked; it lasts forever on my skin. I’m testing it in warm weather, but I’ll have to try it in the cold to see how it performs.
I picked this up yesterday at an insane price and it’s an absolute gem; while I adore the original Amarige, this one, which shares almost the same DNA as Extravagance, smells sweeter, younger, and much easier to wear. Great longevity and very wearable.
