It has the fixing power and the charming, beautiful presence (that some love and others criticize) of ‘Amarige,’ with its signature trail that leaves no one indifferent, but it’s a distinct fragrance. It’s feminine, distinguished, and pleasant. Cinnamon, Sicilian bitter orange, and magnolia take the lead… just like the original, there are notes that ‘reinforce’ the protagonists; in my opinion, benzoin, bergamot, and jasmine do so respectively… there’s also sandalwood, adding that touch of ‘cheerful class,’ characteristic of Givenchy’s ‘Amarige’ family. As many will know, it’s a special edition designed for wedding occasions… the composition it offers fits perfectly in my opinion, for sure. I’m very happy to have it in my collection… if you find it and enjoy warm florals and orientals, don’t hesitate to grab this fine example of perfumery! It’s hard to come by, and besides, it can spare you a headache when you have to attend a wedding 😀

  • The first five minutes didn’t work for me; I thought it smelled gourmand, which I absolutely hate, then it turned into pure patchouli. But after about 15 minutes, it transformed into a delightful cinnamon scent with a citrus touch that isn’t fresh. It’s a great perfume for special occasions. I’m not sure if it’s easy to find, and I’d never seen it before; I received it in a miniature that I’ll keep with great care. It lives up to its house reputation—it’s a quality fragrance.

  • I lived for many years in a city with an extremely cold, windy climate, whose harshness only subdued the majesty of the snow on its beaches and mountains. Perhaps that’s why I gravitated toward strong, bold fragrances like Amarige Mariage; today, in a less unforgiving reality, I hardly ever wear it. Its warmth and persistence feel a bit heavy and overwhelming for these parts. However, it still seems ideal for winter, on cold, starry nights. The cinnamon, sandalwood, and bitter orange stand out grandly, creating a powerful sense of security, as if you were wrapped in a thick fur coat by the warmth of a bonfire. If you wanted to feel naked yet cozy, you’d just need a few spritzes of Amarige Mariage and you’d be set.

  • First time I’m daring to share an opinion, as writing reviews is a whole other level I haven’t quite reached yet. I’m not usually a fan of retro perfumes, and this one is, but it’s warm, festive, and perfect for daytime—cheerful without feeling juvenile or childish. It’s not a scent meant to go unnoticed; it screams ‘spring, I feel gorgeous and happy.’ I received it through an exchange. On the first day, I didn’t get it, but I learned to love it alone, at home, to truly appreciate it. Now it’s a top pick in my collection, a delightful orange scent (neither overly sweet nor excessively acidic), with an obvious but far from excessive retro touch. Opulent, just as I like it; it shouts ‘daytime celebration’ with incredible longevity and sillage. I fell in love with it little by little; now it’s a treasure I cherish and wear whenever I want to enjoy it. Perfumon
