What a wonderful fragrance. I wouldn’t mind paying a little more if they filled it with Ambroxan like Megamare.
It smells like Le Male Elixir—at least it has the base of this perfume, but nothing more. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it’s bad; quite the opposite, but it’s missing something. The longevity is excellent. Surely they’ll release an improved INTENSE version. Wait.
What a great scent for fall/winter! It has incredible longevity and projection! At least on my skin. It’s a bit weird: at first it feels restrained, but after the first 30 minutes it starts projecting like crazy. And the best part is it lasts until the next day. Personally, as a fragrance, I like it way more than Domino 05.
I recently bought this fragrance and it was a pleasant surprise. In my experience, its performance is outstanding: it projects strongly in the first few hours and lasts very well on the skin, making itself felt throughout the day. It’s also a compliment magnet; the few times I’ve worn it, it hasn’t gone unnoticed. As for the scent, its DNA immediately reminds me of Le Male Elixir by Jean Paul Gaultier because of that sweet, nighttime vibe loaded with tonka bean. However, it has its own differences: while the JPG one leans heavily into the tobacco-honey note and lavender, Tonka Temptation takes a path more focused on spicy vanilla and creamy woods, making it a bit more linear but just as addictive and sensual. Totally recommended if you’re looking for something powerful for the cold.
I smelled it in store and could guess two things: 1) a very vanilla scent that instantly reminded me of Le Male Elixir (seems I’m one of the few it happened to, but it undeniably reminded me), and 2) it looks like it will perform well because I put it on a blotter and it smelled very intense. I’m not saying anything for sure because I don’t own it, but that’s the idea I get after trying it. I liked it, you can tell the quality. EDIT: I said it didn’t resemble Baby by YSL but after smelling it again I did notice the similarity. They resemble each other.
On ZARA’s website they define it as ”a second-skin scent”, so maybe it’s that I can’t quite grasp that type of concept for a fragrance with these characteristics. It smells good, but it’s barely noticeable (I repeat, maybe it’s me). I don’t see it as THAT INCREDIBLE either, like other forum members, and it has the problem of so many other fragrances from the brand; it’s totally bland and dull. It does the same as Vibrant Leather: do you want to smell good? Buy it. Do you want a fragrance with personality? Don’t even go near it. You project absolutely nothing, you just smell good (and it’s not even incredible). 0 charm, 0 vibe, 0 appeal. It’s not a cologne with which you’re going to surprise anyone. Quality-wise… well, above average for the others in the men’s section, but nowhere near comparable to the collaborations with Jo Malone or other limited collections like the ‘Dystopia’ they released last year. In short, if you’re in a hurry or don’t feel like spending much on a cologne, you can try it, because it truly is a fairly pleasant smell. If you want a real perfume or fragrance, stay away from it, and buy yourself any typical designer thing for 30 euros more.
Without going into details, the best Zara fragrance, I tried it in store and I loved it, elegant and delicious.
I haven’t smelled the Eau d’ombre leather and I can’t say if it’s similar or not as they say here, but trying it today all day long, yes, it’s the same as SWY Intensely, a sweet, nocturnal and cold vanilla. Good perfume really, and better price than any of the SWY. 8 out of 10.

Honestly, one of the best things Zara has released in 2026. They’re finally breaking the endless Vivrant Leather cycle. It’s very similar to Tom Ford’s Eau d’Ombre Leather—not in the typical leather opening, but in the drydown. Good longevity and good quality; for the price, a 9 🙌
Tried it today at Zara, and I don’t know where people get the comparison to Rosendo Mateu 5. This smells like a kind of watered-down/diluted Le Male Elixir, with that typical Zara perfume touch. It seems to perform moderately well, but yeah, just another clone that smells like the usual stuff these days…
Honestly, I think it’s one of Zara’s best releases in years, though certainly not for being original. To me, it smells more like Eau d’Ombre Leather. Very good longevity and projection.
