Descripción
Love in Black by Creed is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2008, this composition was created by Olivier Creed and Erwin Creed. The top notes unfold with Italian violet, Virginia cedar, and wild flower; the heart reveals iris, musk, and clove; while the base notes complete the olfactory pyramid with black currant and Bulgarian rose.

Exquisite quality, it’s incredible. What I perceive most are those sophisticated powdery roses. I think for a party or event, Love in Black is their best option. It’s like the serious sister of Love in White, more sensual and empowered. I love it.
A great perfume. Dramatic, dark, sensual, mysterious… It denotes class mixed with madness, theatricality, sexuality, and prohibition. Perfect for serious evening events or for a very empowered woman in any setting. My wife wears it, and wherever she goes, she turns heads; its trail and longevity are magnificent. It’s for adult women or very empowered young women, because it’s not a simple aroma. It’s complex, challenging, and whoever wears it must be very confident, as it will definitely draw attention.
Spoiler: Woody violet from start to finish. At first, it smells like violet candies (paradoxically without sweetness), then it dries down to woods with a floral powder room-spray vibe. Unlike most, it doesn’t remind me of Insolence, which is brighter and sweeter. It’s not a heavy or night-only scent; I see it as super feminine and subtle, perhaps they overdid it with the black bottle.
Spoiler: Woody violeta from start to finish. Upon spraying, it smells like violet laundry detergent (not sweet), then dries down to woods, like a floral vanity soap. Unlike most, it doesn’t remind me of Insolence, which is brighter and sweeter. It’s not heavy or night-time; I see it as super feminine and subtle, maybe they overdid it with the black bottle.
It doesn’t feel refined or soapy to me; it’s overwhelming. I couldn’t distinguish the notes; to me, it smells like black licorice candy mixed with other indistinguishable things. The opening was nicer, seeming to evolve into something delicate and powdery, but on me, it was a horror and the scent was extremely unpleasant. It has nothing to do with Insolence, and I believe it’s the only Creed fragrance I dislike.
I don’t find it delicate or soapy; rather, it’s an overwhelming perfume with a suffocating scent. I couldn’t distinguish the notes; to me, it smelled like black licorice candy mixed with something I couldn’t identify. The opening was nicer—it seemed like it would turn delicate and powdery—but on my skin, it was a disaster, and the smell really turned me off. It has nothing to do with Insolence, and I believe it’s the only Creed fragrance I dislike.
It radiates quality, seriousness, elegance, and power. Woody violets lasting for hours. Ideal for evening wear, but also perfect for a winter or spring day. Worth every penny.
What a truly beautiful perfume. It’s a stunning violet scent—the most gorgeous violet notes I’ve ever smelled. While Guerlain’s Insolence is impressive, it gives me a slight headache and smells too powdery; these violets are fresh and lovely instead. The clove adds a spicy yet fresh halo (though not fleeting), paired with exquisite wood that feels nothing like masculine cedar shavings. The violets float, intense but fresh: I’m not talking about summer-fresh, because Insolence feels like a violet kept in a drawer for years—dry and dusty—whereas Love in Black is a young, fleshy violet, freshly cut on a cedar table with cloves and a touch of makeup. The longevity is extraordinary; my fiancé, who usually hates fragrances, kept complimenting it, even saying it smelled like bubblegum. The only downside is the price, but I’ll find a human-friendly supplier before the year ends. Without a doubt, this is the perfume for my wedding.
What a beautiful perfume! It’s a work of art featuring the most gorgeous violets I’ve ever smelled. While Guerlain’s Insolence is stunning, it gives me a slight headache and smells very powdery; here, the violets are fresh, wrapped in a lovely halo with a spicy clove note that adds depth without being masculine. It’s a refined wood, like cedar shavings, with intense yet fresh violets. I’m not talking about freshness for hot weather, but rather a young, fleshy violet freshly cut on a cedar table with cloves and a hint of makeup. The longevity is incredible; my fiancé said it smelled like bubblegum and challenged me to a sniff, and I definitely want it. The only downside is the price, but I’ll find a supplier and get it before mid-year. It will be my wedding perfume.
One of the highest-quality fragrances I’ve ever tried. A blend of violet, iris, musk, and roses that exudes class and transports you to another world. Although I’m not usually a fan of powdery scents, Love in Black made me surrender to this masterpiece—I bought it immediately. It’s impressive, almost perfect. It might not appeal to everyone, but its quality and longevity are spectacular. I recommend giving it a try and letting yourself be swept away by its magic.
