It smells exactly like Orientica Cuir Premium—super masculine. The quality is top-notch, but I don’t get any sweetness, no hint of cinnamon or vanilla; it’s pure spice and smoke. I’d gift this to a dude, but I can’t handle it on my own skin and wouldn’t try it again. I bought it blindly based on women’s recommendations, and it’s a disaster for me.

One of Lattafa’s absolute top 5. Perfumes like this prove that olfactory art is still alive, exploring the unknown and setting trends. It’s a total treat; if a niche brand released this, I’d pay 100 euros without blinking, which makes you reflect on how amazing quality fragrances can be at this price. Shaari proves you don’t need to spend a fortune to get quality and reminds us there are perfumes worth discovering without taking out a mortgage. The opening is brutal: sweet, sugary vanilla with a smoky touch and a bit of alcohol, yet not heavy like most ouds, but intoxicating. Then, by magic, roses and green jasmine bloom, followed by a sweet leather that’s simply marvelous. A masterful blend of dark aromas with flashes of light, featuring huge longevity and a trail above average. For me, it has something charming in its oriental composition—pleasantly sweet, all built harmoniously and powerfully. It hooks you from the first spritz and is perfect for cold weather. Grandiose.

This perfume is a beast, a beauty from start to finish. Its name in Arabic means ‘poetry’ or ‘poet.’ It opens with dominant spicy saffron and oud over a sweet base of leather and amber, accompanied by a touch of cinnamon. The sweetness is moderate and well-balanced. In the first phase, I notice a bitter, woody nuance that smells like roots, such as ginger or turmeric. The saffron and cinnamon fade, giving way to incense, which leaves its trail over that well-crafted oud. In the heart, it smells of dry seeds like almonds, walnuts, or peanuts over a date base. The oud, amber, leather, and incense linger until the end. Longevity is about 7-8 hours on skin and over 12 on clothes. With 5 or 8 sprays (I tend to apply a lot), the performance is very acceptable. Moderate projection: noticeable at a meter for the first hour, then settles closer to the skin for another 6 or 7 hours, while on clothes it lasts days longer. It shines in humid or cold environments. I recommend it for night, casual or formal gatherings with delicate food and drink, so the fragrance accompanies without overwhelming. It’s an excellent composition, like a song opening the door to an autumn sunset while a couple shares sahlab in the desert sand. It’s joyful and serene about the beauty of being alive under this sun. It’s a poem in a bottle. Excellent quality for the price. Final note: 9/10.
