In my collection, this Lattafa stands out as original among green leather fragrances. It’s linear, herbal, and the scent hits all at once rather than evolving note by note. It’s not for everyone—it’s only for those who wear multiple perfumes or enjoy leather without it being a challenging niche experience. It’s mature, serious, yet has its own charm. It works day and night for men (though some women dare to wear it, though it doesn’t suit them delicately). It vibrates with a rough, wild energy, with leather clashing against the green notes. It lasts 9 hours on skin with moderate projection, but it’s noticeable with several sprays. Lattafa offers great value for the low price (I wouldn’t spend the same on Memo’s original). The box and materials are good, but the cap is low quality. The bottle is solid and simple.

If you don’t like strong leather scents but want to try one, this is perfect: it’s noticeable but soft and pleasant. It’s affordable and lasts well, about 7 to 8 hours.

An ultra-green, piercing, and sour Arabic fragrance, like chewing on wet nettle soaked in turpentine. The cheap leather barely lasts 20 minutes, but the nettle scent lingers way too long. The only good thing is the price. Only for sadomasochistic leather fans who also have a Greenpeace membership. The best lesson: never buy blind, not based on reviews, YouTubers, or low-cost Arabic perfume samples. P.S. It has what Irish Leather by Memo has to Falete: the same ratio that Falete has to La Pantoja. People are smoking thyme with these comparisons.

I was looking for an Ambergris Shouers clone and found something closer to Nina’s Bloody instead. Notes of ash, galbanum, and night-blooming cereus.

  • Can’t identify the leather at all; a letdown if you were expecting classics like Aramis or Ombre Leather. Sniffing it on blotter paper is a mistake—it hits the nose hard and feels like a chemical disaster. But on skin, it transforms completely: it becomes floral and musky, elegant and delicate, maybe even too feminine. Don’t buy blind. If you test it, do it on your skin, under your shirt.

Smelling it on blotter paper is a mistake—it assaults the nose and seems like a chemical disaster. • Bought it blind expecting something like Ana Abiyedh, but nope. Smells like gasoline or fuel, can’t find the leather, and it didn’t convince me. Another blind-buy mistake, same as with Derby Club House Blanche. What a letdown.

  • Quick in-store test: the stinging nettle scent is real and brutal, more than tomato, it smells like a freshly pulled plant. On blotter paper, it lasted hours; by the next day, the black leather note emerged, like a luxury leather chair in a rich, stubborn uncle’s office. It doesn’t smell cheap (even though it is), but it’s a shock. Maybe it improves on skin over time. If I had an extra $12, I’d buy it just to see if it changes. Never buy blindly.
