  1. Calschpenalista

I had no idea what this was until a friend gifted me 4ml and I was instantly hooked. According to the house, it’s a sunset: warm, clean, sweet, with sandalwood, amber, spices, and white flowers. It starts loud with sandalwood, cinnamon, and a coconut vibe, then settles into amber, floral, and sweet. Perfect for summer nights, unisex. Reminds me of Carter Barcelona’s Palo Santo: the same feeling of enjoying a dessert while the sun sets.

I had no idea what this was until a friend gifted me a 4ml sample and I absolutely loved it. According to the house, it’s inspired by sunset: warm, clean, sweet, with sandalwood, amber, spices, and white flowers. The opening is loud with sandalwood, cinnamon, and coconut water, then it evolves into an amber, floral, and sweet drydown. I see it as ideal for summer nights, unisex. It reminded me of Palo Santo by Carter Barcelona—that feeling of sitting back, enjoying a dessert, and watching the sun set.

  3. No sunscreen vibes at all! It smells like leather upholstery in the sun, mixed with flowers and sandalwood, all under a scorching sun. A brutal blend. Ideal for cold days bathed in sunlight.

Heavy sandalwood right out of the gate, like a sweet, essential Indian oil—nothing like the clean vibe of Santal 33. It smells elegant and distinguished, like a wealthy, old-money woman, almost reminiscent of Fahrenheit. Definitely not a tanning scent; the benzoin is super potent and leans into leather. A man could wear this without issues. On my skin, I don’t detect the coconut or neroli. As it dries, it softens and becomes serene, though the benzoin lingers. Not for everyday wear, but perfect for winter and fancy dinners. In the end, it settles into an amber identical to Tom Ford Noir.

A flood of sandalwood comes out, like a thick Indian essential oil, very sweet. It’s not like Santal 33, which is cleaner; this one is elegant, stately, like a wealthy, old-money woman. It gave me air of Fahrenheit. Doesn’t smell like sunscreen. The benzoin is strong, reminiscent of leather. A man would wear this without issues. On my skin, I don’t detect coconut or neroli. The drydown softens, becoming serene and peaceful, but the benzoin lingers. Not for daily wear; it’s for winter and elegant dinners. Closes with an amber identical to Tom Ford Noir.

  7. Agree with Palma: no sunscreen, no coconut, nothing beachy. On my skin, the opening smells like tar, that petrochemical scent softens and in 10 minutes becomes an amber accord with a burnt note (maybe pepper), very similar to Carner’s Botafumeiro. The finish loses the smoky touch and reminds me of other Tom Ford amber-based scents, like Noir pour Femme or Noir Extreme. Beastly projection and 12-hour longevity without fail. An interesting proposal, maybe not for daily use, but perfect for special cold-weather occasions. The smoky touch is addictive, though not for everyone. I see it as unisex, but its industrial character leans masculine. Like most Tom Fords, it has excellent performance, but I think it’s pricey. 8. For me, definitely no sunscreen. Smells heavily of sandalwood and benzoin, barely any white flowers, zero coconut, and certainly no sunscreen.

  9. As someone below said, ‘it’s like you put on sunscreen,’ and they’re right, though in a good way. My mom bought it and I already stole it because it’s amazing. The benzoin plus the amber give it that resinous touch that feels like sunscreen over wood and honey, making it a great fragrance. Now that it’s cold, it works very well, though maybe not as much in heat due to that hard-to-define sweetness. Definitely a very niche choice.

  10. It smells like coconut (which isn’t listed, but it’s definitely there) present all the time; the benzoin and sandalwood give it an authentic touch, unlike anything else on the market. And as its name says, ‘THE BURNING SUN’; it’s like you put on sunscreen, but with 7 hours of longevity…
