I love free perfume samples from magazines! That’s how I tried this new D&G. I expected something darker and more mysterious, but it’s super sweet, almost all caramel and lychee. Very feminine and innocent, a gourmand with just a few floral/lychee notes. The sillage and longevity are medium, nothing like Devil or anything special. It reminds me a lot of CH and Shalimar Initial.

  • Smells amazing! Very sweet and fruity… but just fruity. It’s fine for daytime, though I’m not sure if it stands out enough for night.

  • I liked it, but it didn’t leave me speechless. It doesn’t last long on the skin. A friend let me borrow it, and while it’s pretty, it lacks that personal touch I’m looking for, so I didn’t buy it.

  • I haven’t surrendered to a perfume in a long time; its only flaw is that its longevity is average… if it were more durable it would be perfect. It’s elegant and subtle.

  • It’s been a while since I’ve fallen for a perfume. Its only flaw is that it doesn’t last long… if it held up better, it would be perfect. It’s elegant and subtle.

  • Maria Teresa

Very similar to its predecessor The One, only this one has a classic oriental vanilla touch that makes it more nocturnal and sensual; the sweet notes are very subtle, so they don’t cloy at all.

  • Lychee, caramel, and neroli over an amber base. Sweet, soft, and feminine. It also has an elegant side, but not as sober as the bottle suggests; I find it more playful. It’s great for first dates, dinner dates, and fun meetups… during daytime hours. I don’t see it as suitable for evening events unless it’s for going to bed. The bottle suits it well… smelling it, I imagine an outfit dominated by black, white, cream, and gold; stiletto heels, everything delicate and refined. As Aquaura said, it reminds me (a bit) of Gucci Flora EDP (for my nose in the top notes), but The One Desire is more subtle, and the vanilla touch changes everything. I didn’t detect licorice.

  • Sissy Emperatríz

Its opening notes are irresistible, sweet, sparkling, and delicious… but it has very little trail and after 10 minutes there’s nothing left on the skin. It has a sad ending. Nothing nocturnal, nothing winter-like, nothing sophisticated as its packaging suggests. I think they could have done much more, since the raw materials are excellent, but now designers fall into the trendy gourmand aroma trend to satisfy popular tastes.

  • Lychee, caramel, and neroli over an amber base, sweet, soft, and feminine. It also has an elegant point, but not as sober as the bottle suggests, I find it more jovial. It’s great for first dates, dinner dates, or recreational daytime meetings; I don’t see it as suitable for evening events, unless it’s for going to bed. The bottle suits it well… smelling it, I imagine an outfit in black, white, cream, and gold; stiletto heels, all delicate and refined. As Aquaura said, if you remember (a bit) Flora by Gucci EDP for my nose in the opening notes, but The One Desire is more subtle and the vanilla touch changes everything. I didn’t detect any licorice.

  • A delicious experience for the senses! It shares the style of the original The One, but it’s more subtle with a soft caramel, very well balanced with neroli, citrus, and resins, it doesn’t saturate and lasts me over 6 hours, but quite subtle. It develops better on cool afternoons with a breeze… very chic and elegant, I’ve loved it. The beautiful bottle, black and minimalist, goes perfectly with the fragrance.

  • Azúcar-Rubia

Ideal for a quinceañera gift, it lacks mystery. Although the ingredient combination is excellent, as SISSY-EMPERATRIZ says, it lacks depth, it stays in the foreground, it has no sillage or longevity, it doesn’t transcend, it’s skin-scent, very light… what a pity, because the scent is exquisite.

  • I tried it and it didn’t quite work for me; I expected better longevity, but it smells strong and I think it’s more suited for older women. In the end, I gave it to my mom and she absolutely loved it. I’d choose the new Dolce over this a thousand times.

  • I bought it and honestly, I didn’t like it; I thought it would have good longevity but it’s not very soft and I think it’s for older women, I ended up gifting it to my mother, she loved it… I’d stay with the new one called Dolce!! a thousand times over.

  • Dolce & Gabbana fragrances aren’t ugly, but they have a major flaw: they don’t last and the trail is minimal. This oriental scent, very commercial, might please some, but it will hardly win over those looking for something deep or mysterious. It’s not bad, but it’s dispensable. Suitable for those who want something very discreet.

  • Dolce & Gabbana fragrances aren’t unpleasant, but they have a major flaw: they don’t last long and their sillage is very limited. This is an oriental scent, the most commercial style you can imagine. It might please some, but it will hardly conquer lovers of deep or mysterious aromas. It’s not bad, but it feels dispensable. Suitable for those seeking very discreet scents.

  • I love it, it’s one of my favorites. I ask everyone what I’m wearing. I’ve loved it since it launched, although it’s for night use; during the day it’s too much. It doesn’t smell like anything known, it’s unique!

  • La plus belle

Delicious. It’s a very gourmand and floral perfume. The caramel is soft, while the muguet and neroli give it a sparkling touch. Perfect for any occasion: J’adore.

  • La plus belle

So delicious! It’s super gourmand and floral; the caramel is very soft, and the muguet with the neroli gives it that sparkling touch. Perfect for any occasion, J’adore.

  • It’s a conquering perfume, one you fall for without asking twice. It’s best for specific occasions: night gatherings, parties that demand sophistication. During the day or in enclosed spaces, it can be overwhelming. It’s very striking and intense for the night, though the longevity is short. It suits all climates, though in heat it can feel dense on the wearer. What lasts the longest is the sweet caramel, vanilla, and amber. The sandalwood adds a sensual touch without being over the top. At some point, the mandarin’s zest makes it citrusy before returning to sweetness. It’s a feminine scent for those over 25, as the sandalwood strips away innocence. Longevity varies by skin; generally weak, but the sillage can be heavy under certain conditions. The base is similar to The One but much further from The One Rose. The bottle nails the colors, giving off a chic vibe for semi-formal or formal outfits. If it lasted longer, it would be ideal for standing out and being the center of attention.

  • It’s a perfume that conquers, one of those you love but don’t ask for. It’s for specific occasions: nighttime gatherings, parties that require a certain sophistication, among others. During the day or in enclosed spaces, it can be quite invasive. It’s very striking and intense for nighttime use, although its longevity is short; it works well in all weather types, though in hot climates it can feel dense for the wearer. The scent that lasts the longest is the sweet caramel, with vanilla and amber notes. The sandalwood marks a sensual point that doesn’t get over the top. At some point, a certain zest from the mandarin makes it citrusy, returning to sweetness always. It’s a feminine scent for a range starting from 25 years old, since the sandalwood takes away the innocence. Its longevity varies from skin to skin but is generally weak; however, its trail can get heavy in certain conditions. It has a base similar to The One but much further from The One Rose. The packaging nails it with colors that give the impression of a very chic meeting with semi-formal or formal outfits. • I couldn’t stand it and had to give it away. It has a very sharp note that messes with me, like some tropical fruit.

  • I couldn’t stand it and had to gift it away. It has a very sharp note that throws me off, like some kind of tropical fruit.

  • La plus belle

It’s one of the best perfumes out there… truly delicious. It shines the most in autumn. And the bottle is a luxury piece. Longevity and trail: excellent!

  • I love the The One line; I can feel their seductive beauty and the Italian sensuality so characteristic of this house. Desire still has the point of the classic The One, that sharp touch more typical of oriental fragrances, but Desire is much sweeter and vanilla-forward. When it dries down, I’d say it adds a creamy coconut note that reminds me of The One Intense. It’s a nighttime and autumnal perfume with medium longevity and trail.

  • It’s a version of the original The One loaded more with caramel and neroli. It’s a darker, more nocturnal, and powerful scent. If the original The One reminded me of hair lacquer scents, Desire reminds me of a tropical garden at night. Stunning for late-night outings; it feels out of place for daily errands but has great longevity. The trail, however, is always moderate. It has a synthetic fruity character, very trendy, but the ambered neroli and sandalwood give it strength and style. Perfect for cool temperatures; that subtle sweetness is pleasing and gets amplified. For seductive women with strong personalities. It suits them. Try before you buy. The caramelized neroli might not appeal to those who prefer less incisive scents.

  • It’s a version of The One original but heavier on caramel and neroli. It smells darker, more nocturnal, and potent. If The One reminded me of hairspray, this evokes a tropical garden at night. Ideal for going out. It clashes in the office, though the longevity is good. The trail is moderate. It has a fruity synthetic character, very trendy, but the ambered sandalwood and neroli give it strength. Perfect for cool days; that subtle sweetness is pleasing and intensifies. For seductive women with character. It goes with them. Try before you buy; the caramelized neroli might not appeal to those who prefer softer scents.

  • It’s the only The One I’ve owned, super rich. It’s suggested for going out at night, but it works great on cool afternoons whenever I feel like wearing it. The top notes are barely noticeable; what really stands out is the sweetness, the neroli, and the sandalwood. I kept it going for six years without any care, no box, sitting on an entryway table exposed to light and temperature changes. Here’s a D&G genius move: despite my poor treatment, it stayed flawless until the last drop; I understand it’s due to the perfect bottle and cap; the scent didn’t change a bit (I did the same with two other fragrances and they failed quickly, changing significantly in a short time).

  • The jewel of Dolce&Gabbana, without a doubt. It opens spicy with lychee and juicy citrus fruits; the floral heart of neroli adds intensity, and it dries down to a creamy, sensual caramel-vanilla trail. On my skin, it’s not heavy but moderate and intimate, yet it goes straight to my top five without hesitation. It’s truly a fragrance meant to be desired with all your senses.

  • What a wonder! It’s sweet, seductive, and very feminine. The trail is moderate but lasts for hours. I received many compliments wearing it. The entire The One line shares a common thread, but Desire stands out with its caramel note, making it sweeter. It’s elegant, sophisticated, and perfect for feeling beautiful.

  • Unmistakable and not cloying. It has a strong presence, feels feminine, sensual, and sophisticated. In my opinion, perfect for winter nights. I bought about 8 bottles and they discontinued it; I still have two left and would buy it again without hesitation.
