The One Desire by Dolce&Gabbana

Unmistakable and not cloying. It has a strong presence, feels feminine, sensual, and sophisticated. In my opinion, perfect for winter nights. I bought about 8 bottles and they discontinued it; I still have two left and would buy it again without hesitation.

The jewel of Dolce&Gabbana, without a doubt. It opens spicy with lychee and juicy citrus fruits; the floral heart of neroli adds intensity, and it dries down to a creamy, sensual caramel-vanilla trail. On my skin, it’s not heavy but moderate and intimate, yet it goes straight to my top five without hesitation. It’s truly a fragrance meant to be desired with all your senses.

It’s a version of The One original but heavier on caramel and neroli. It smells darker, more nocturnal, and potent. If The One reminded me of hairspray, this evokes a tropical garden at night. Ideal for going out. It clashes in the office, though the longevity is good. The trail is moderate. It has a fruity synthetic character, very trendy, but the ambered sandalwood and neroli give it strength. Perfect for cool days; that subtle sweetness is pleasing and intensifies. For seductive women with character. It goes with them. Try before you buy; the caramelized neroli might not appeal to those who prefer softer scents.

I love the The One line; I can feel their seductive beauty and the Italian sensuality so characteristic of this house. Desire still has the point of the classic The One, that sharp touch more typical of oriental fragrances, but Desire is much sweeter and vanilla-forward. When it dries down, I’d say it adds a creamy coconut note that reminds me of The One Intense. It’s a nighttime and autumnal perfume with medium longevity and trail.

I couldn’t stand it and had to gift it away. It has a very sharp note that throws me off, like some kind of tropical fruit.

It’s a conquering perfume, one you fall for without asking twice. It’s best for specific occasions: night gatherings, parties that demand sophistication. During the day or in enclosed spaces, it can be overwhelming. It’s very striking and intense for the night, though the longevity is short. It suits all climates, though in heat it can feel dense on the wearer. What lasts the longest is the sweet caramel, vanilla, and amber. The sandalwood adds a sensual touch without being over the top. At some point, the mandarin’s zest makes it citrusy before returning to sweetness. It’s a feminine scent for those over 25, as the sandalwood strips away innocence. Longevity varies by skin; generally weak, but the sillage can be heavy under certain conditions. The base is similar to The One but much further from The One Rose. The bottle nails the colors, giving off a chic vibe for semi-formal or formal outfits. If it lasted longer, it would be ideal for standing out and being the center of attention.

Delicious. It’s a very gourmand and floral perfume. The caramel is soft, while the muguet and neroli give it a sparkling touch. Perfect for any occasion: J’adore.

Dolce & Gabbana fragrances aren’t unpleasant, but they have a major flaw: they don’t last long and their sillage is very limited. This is an oriental scent, the most commercial style you can imagine. It might please some, but it will hardly conquer lovers of deep or mysterious aromas. It’s not bad, but it feels dispensable. Suitable for those seeking very discreet scents.

I bought it and honestly, I didn’t like it; I thought it would have good longevity but it’s not very soft and I think it’s for older women, I ended up gifting it to my mother, she loved it… I’d stay with the new one called Dolce!! a thousand times over.

Ideal for a quinceañera gift, it lacks mystery. Although the ingredient combination is excellent, as SISSY-EMPERATRIZ says, it lacks depth, it stays in the foreground, it has no sillage or longevity, it doesn’t transcend, it’s skin-scent, very light… what a pity, because the scent is exquisite.

As Aquaura said, if you remember (a bit) Flora by Gucci EDP for my nose in the opening notes, but The One Desire is more subtle and the vanilla touch changes everything. I didn’t detect any licorice.

I liked it, but it didn’t leave me speechless. It doesn’t last long on the skin. A friend let me borrow it, and while it’s pretty, it lacks that personal touch I’m looking for, so I didn’t buy it.
