Sensus Absolute by Avon

Honestly, this isn’t for everyone. At first, it hits hard, so apply it early. It’s ideal for winter or rainy days; in the heat, it can be overwhelming, though I wore it in the sun with a sweaty undershirt and it never lost its intensity. The woody notes are top-notch. Longevity: 10/10, Sillage: 9/10 (can be too much indoors, but perfect outdoors). Scent: 10/10, Price: 10/10 (I got it on a 2×1 deal with another Sensus). Would I buy it again? Yes, but since I only see Absolute Santal in the catalog, I need to check if there are differences.

I’m writing just because someone said to spray it 20 times… what madness? With just 5 sprays (neck, back, and wrists), I already feel like I’m suffocating half the room. And with that, it lasts almost 8 hours. 😨

It’s a simple scent with three notes: synthetic oud, pepper, and leather. It’s accessible and friendly for those who don’t know oud. Excellent, a little treasure. Some will say it has no evolution or flair and that it’s synthetic, yes, but I liked it. Less is more; it smells more expensive than it is. People have bragged about their own scents around me, and I told them it’s a gift I can’t remember the name of.

What’s the difference between Sensus Absolute, Absolute by Elite, and Absolute by Exclusive, all from Avon? According to reviews, they’re all the same fragrance.

I didn’t think a catalog fragrance would surprise me. It’s an aromatic scent based on oud with spaced-out woods, very faint but perceptible leather after a few minutes. It’s very linear, doesn’t change over time. It lasts 8 hours on skin and more than 12 on clothes.

Totally woody fragrance, smells like a carpentry shop. I detect cedar, burnt caramel, vanilla, musk, and boot-shop leather. It’s a hidden gem and, in my opinion, Avon’s best men’s scent for longevity and sillage. Wish they’d reclassify it from women’s to men’s.

Top pick from Avon to try oud at a ridiculous price: good sillage and longevity. Watch out, don’t overdo it: 2 or 3 sprays are enough.

Mature, woody, and spicy scent that smells good and hits the spot. It’s not a hidden gem like Isra Moreno from YouTube claims; it’s normal for its category. Good longevity, but projection is very poor; it stays close to the skin the whole time. The only plus is the ridiculously low price. Price 9/10, Scent 6/10, Longevity 7/10, Projection 3/10. I’m not sure if I’d recommend it.

AVON SENSUS ABSOLUTE: Smells great dry down; within Avon, it’s the best. It’s a dark synthetic oud with woods and leather. For the price, it’s a must-have and won’t let you down. Compared to Lattafa Raghba’s Opulent Oud, this is light years away in scent and performance; both follow the same path but there are levels: Raghba is a 10 with honors, this is a 6.5. Don’t expect the best oud because it isn’t. Scent 8/10, soft projection (2 hours), max longevity 5 hours. To truly project and last, you need many sprays (15-20). I used 20 and it worked as expected. Recommended.

Strong synthetic oud scent, but it’s totally fine. A bit rare in the catalog; it reminds me a lot of Mancera’s Aoud Vanille. I own both and they’re very similar.
