Idôle by Lancôme

Caught me off guard. I hate roses, but this doesn’t bother me at all. It’s fresh and light with that fruity touch I love. Seems super versatile; I wear it day or night, any season. It doesn’t overpower; it’s like the perfect office perfume.

I have it and it’s a delicacy. Lasts all day on skin, all day on clothes. I recommend it for spring, summer, and even fall; I wouldn’t wear it in winter. 10/10😊

I tried it on a free sample and I’m surprised. I usually don’t like roses because they smell ‘old lady,’ but this is the exception. It’s a fruity rose with lots of sweet pear and jasmine, notes I’m obsessed with. It’s super refined, elegant but perfect for daytime, fresh, clean, feminine, and sweet without being cloying. I’m surprised I liked it so much; I’ll definitely add it to my collection. Very refined.

Skin chemistry: fits perfectly, I’d buy it again and wear it daily, though I haven’t used it in 3 months because I ran out last year.

It’s rich and elegant at the same time. Along with Miracle, these are the only Lancôme perfumes I truly like; it’s the one that flatters me the most and the one I’ve gifted the most. Ideal for fall and spring, I don’t recommend it for extreme summer heat because the roses can get overwhelming, though there’s no limit to the scents themselves.

I’m not usually a rose lover, but this smells delicious. The rose here is elegant, fresh, and nothing like an old lady. It’s versatile, for all ages and climates. Several people have told me I smell good. Plus, it’s not as common as others (like Cloud by Ariana), so you feel special. The top notes are my favorites: intense projection, 1 or 2 sprays are enough. Lasts 5-8 hours on skin and longer on clothes. I wear it daily, but I enjoy it even more on special occasions to feel pampered.

I like the original Idôle for its fresh, fruity opening with lots of sweet pear. The rose always stands out, but the other notes evolve while it stays constant. The opening is fruity, then you notice the musk, and the rose remains fresh, nothing powdery. It suits a cute or elegant girl. It’s a hit for spring and fall; I don’t recommend it for extreme heat because the rose can get heavy, but it’s better for day than night. It’s not old-ladyish; women of all ages wear it, and I even see young people using it as a signature. I wear it to feel pretty, soft, and put-together. Every time I move, there’s a rich rose scent, nothing invasive, even for those who don’t like roses, this is the option.

I’ll always love it. Very floral, rich, intense, with a slight trail of coffee and salt that makes the longevity last.

I went by a spray I put on my wrist a few hours ago at the perfumery. I don’t know if it has good chemistry with my skin or how, but wow. I detect a fresh, light rose with the sweetness of pear. Every time the scent reaches me as I move my arms, it cheers me up. I’ll try a dupe and hope it performs as well as the original because for spring and summer, it seems fantastic. It feels quite natural and not tiring. It feels refined on the nose and not at all overwhelming.

It’s a fresh, very feminine and soft perfume, smelling mainly of roses, but not an herbal rose; rather, it’s sweet. It reminds me a lot of the Herbal Essences rose shampoo. After some time, the rose scent becomes more noticeable. I don’t understand those who say it smells old; to me, it evokes a young girl, clean, sweet, confident, simple, and carefree. I understand why Olivia Rodrigo appears in the Power version, which is more intense with an apple touch. Ideal for everyday wear.

In my experience, I usually prefer gourmand fragrances; I must admit, it has its charm. When I imagine wearing it, spring comes to mind: rose, sparkling, slightly playful, totally feminine, clean, talcum-powdered, and with a youthful touch. Although it all comes down to taste, I consider this the type of fragrance that men like to smell on a woman (from my own experience); it seems excellent for a date; not everything has to be femme fatale.

I can’t explain why I wanted to buy it; in the store, it smelled like a wealthy woman—fresh and floral, with everything I was looking for. Now that I’m wearing it, it makes me so happy; it’s extremely feminine. Sometimes it smells like body cream, as my friends told me. The sillage disappointed me a little; it doesn’t last all day or project as much as its price suggests, but it compliments me sometimes. I love it and will keep buying it. It seems simple but beautiful.

I was super excited about the hype. I smelled it in the store and it was a ‘meh’: it smells good and is feminine, but it’s not a big deal. I’ve heard of richer scents 🙁

It’s elegant, youthful, and versatile, serving for any occasion and making you stand out. I thought I wouldn’t like it because it wasn’t my style, but I do. I recommend it, I’ve really liked Idole.
