A friend in London also bought this for me blind, just like Annabel, looking for that rain or sea salt scent. I wanted a feminine version of Kenzo for Men, which smells like the sea to me, and when I tried it, it was wonderful. The downside is they sent me the small bottle, so it runs out quickly; I haven’t thrown it away because I smell it all the time. I can’t find anything else like it. My sister absolutely loved it too: it smells like rain, white flowers, and cleanliness. I asked a flight attendant friend to look for it at airports, but it’s out of stock and they no longer make it. I’m devastated trying to find something similar; if anyone knows of one, please advise. Thanks.

I think this is the perfume I fought the hardest to get. I bought it blind online when I was determined to find a fragrance that ‘smelled like rain.’ Rain by Marc Jacobs wasn’t exactly what I expected, but overall it’s very pleasant. Its scent is a ‘wet’ woody note, if that’s even possible, with a sweet touch (I suppose it’s the strawberry and tangerine). Before checking the notes here on Fragrantica, I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out what smelled off in this perfume, and honestly, I found something strange among its notes, something ‘yellow’ or_O, even though colors don’t have a scent (or who knows, haha). Anyway, I finally checked and it has to be the sunflower because I don’t know or own any other perfume with that note. Although describing a scent precisely seems very difficult, I could say it’s similar to the smell of book pages when they get old and yellowed. Of course, that’s just my impression. Longevity and sillage are moderate, but reapplying isn’t an issue since the bottle is ENORME.
