Fruity, elegant, and mysterious perfume that makes me think of moonlight and the night. I feel it’s super nocturnal and for cold seasons; it has a quite heavy trail. It’s not a youthful fruity scent; it’s more sophisticated and a bit formal. It’s rich and of very high quality.
It’s special to me because I wore it to my wedding, but I don’t like it as much as when I first bought it. It sits better on clothes than on skin; it’s better for winter or fall. It’s nocturnal and elegant, but in my opinion, it lacks the sweetness to be youthful and sexy.
It’s a delight; personally, it’s my favorite! Lancôme fragrances are my top picks.
Tresor Midnight Rose wasn’t what I expected. I’m into sweet and powerful perfumes, but on my skin it comes out fresh, fruity, almost citrusy. The trail for the first three hours is good, but the longevity is average, about 6 hours. I expected something dark and nocturnal—maybe its launch was—but its dry down reminds me of Light Blue. No regrets though; it’s pleasant and I needed it to break up with my super-sweet fragrances on a hot day.
Love at first sniff; a light cloud of sweetness with cedar makes it delicious and mysterious. Like the Emma Watson ad, it describes a romantic night, not a passionate one. It’s sweet, romantic, and seductive with a tender touch. Lasts over 8 hours on skin with moderate projection. Some think it smells like ‘guava candy,’ but I don’t, yet everyone agrees it smells ‘edible’ haha.
I heard great things and bought it excitedly, but it didn’t hit me like I expected from Lancôme. It smells good—sweet, intense red fruits with a touch of sensuality—but it didn’t wow me at all. I’ll give it more chances. Months later, I confess I’m head over heels: it’s sexy, elegant, striking, overflowing with sensuality, sweet, floral, and nocturnal. A gem of perfumery. Yes, I’d buy it again; it can’t be missing from my collection.
I keep it like a treasure because I just found out it’s discontinued. The pepper and blackcurrant scent is spectacular and lasts all day; the next day on clothes and hair it’s still soft. What a pity they threw it away; I hope they bring it back someday.
Out of all the ones I own, this is my favorite. It’s sensual and sweet but not cloying. It lasts all night. It’s hard to find where I live, so it always stands out. When you buy Lancôme, it’s hard not to like it.
This is THE perfume! I’ve had mine for over 4 years and it smells exactly like the first day. It’s captivating; I only wear it on special occasions and at night. It’s elegant without looking like a ‘lady’s perfume.’ Plus, it lasts more than 8 hours on skin and is eternal on clothes.
I bought it blindly for the raspberry and rose blend, thinking it would be like Angel Nova, but it’s neither. I don’t smell the raspberry; the rose comes out spicy and a bit old-fashioned, though I like it for night and it lasts well. It starts with alcohol, but nothing like Angel Nova. I liked the scent, but I didn’t love it as I expected from that combination.
I tried it in 2012 and didn’t see the point, I sold it because at 21 I only wanted fresh and sweet things. Now I’m claiming it back with enthusiasm; it’s gorgeous, warm, and has a spicy kick. Uff, I need it now. Lancôme and I get along well; I almost love everything they make (except LVEB).
It has an air I can’t quite explain, it’s the scent of an elegant princess, sophisticated, over 30, romantic and sexy with a mysterious touch. I see it for going out at night, ideal for semi-formal or formal events. It’s pleasant and addictive, with raspberry taking the lead. The pepper is there but it doesn’t sting, and the rose is very delicate. It doesn’t smell like individual notes, but a harmonious blend. You can tell the quality: it lasts more than 12 hours on skin and projects strongly for about 4 hours, then fades slowly. What I love most is that I can feel it all the time.
Mysterious and sexy, ideal for night. The best advice is to try it before buying and avoid it in the heat; I use it in winter and it works great with clothes, its longevity is incredible for days.
Someone told me that Tresor Midnight Rose was a dupe for Promesse. I barely noticed it without spraying it and thought they had nothing to do with each other. But after trying it, if someone wore it and said it was Promesse, I wouldn’t doubt it for a second; it’s impossible to spot the lie. They’re incredibly hard to distinguish. Tresor keeps the darker, more enigmatic, and less cheerful side of the original, that mystery that makes you wonder which note is hitting, and it retains that. It just lacks a bit in the immediate dry-down. Once sprayed, they’re 95% identical, almost twins, not exact copies. They dry down identically. I love them.
As a man, it smells super feminine and I absolutely love it. The raspberry takes charge from start to finish, a note I usually prefer in a woman. In the air, it’s exquisite, but on skin, it’s not quite there at first; later, once the vanilla and florals settle in, the blend becomes rich and delicious. It’s sweet yet light, perfect for cool days, autumn, or winter. If I imagine a woman wearing this, I definitely would. If I went out with someone smelling like this, I’d find it very attractive and pleasant.
One of my favorites, an incredibly rich scent: vanilla-infused raspberries with musk. It’s quite similar to Mugler’s Angel Nova. I’d wear it day or night, in winter, spring, or even summer evenings. It’s one of those scents that reveals itself with a breeze, noticeable with movement and as body temperature changes.
I already have it. It’s a slightly sweet fragrance that doesn’t get cloying, mysterious and nocturnal. I detect quite a bit of raspberry and blackberry. It’s delicious, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again.
At first, this and Le Belle by Nina Ricci seem similar, but they become very different as they dry down. It’s a very versatile perfume that I think works all year round, day or night, depending on the number of sprays. It has decent sillage and projection without being overwhelming.
This perfume has a special place in my heart. I discovered it almost right after leaving home, during a tough time. I had a job but no money or friends, so I went to a Sears to kill time, and a lady offered me a sample. It was love at first sniff; I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist and promised myself that someday it would be mine. Thanks to my efforts, years later, I finally got a 75ml bottle. I enjoyed it immensely: it’s mysterious, feminine, and addictive, perfect for autumn/winter. I don’t know any other that makes me feel this way. I still keep my bottle, even though only 1ml is left; it’s a trophy proving that bad streaks pass and goals are achievable. I hope to buy a refill soon. I love this perfume!
I used to refuse to fall for the 2021/2022 hype, especially when comparing it to Angel Nova. I already owned Nova EDP, which is lovely and has earned me countless compliments (in fact, the most after Alien), and honestly, I didn’t like comparing it to Tresor Midnight. I don’t know why I never picked up this one or In Love, maybe their bottles just didn’t catch my eye, but now that I own them: WOW, now I understand the love for this fragrance. It’s a super juicy, fresh dark rose with a sweet raspberry note that has its own acidic fruit twist. It gives Nova the sweetness and juiciness it was missing. The similarity is undeniable, around 90%… I think Tresor Midnight is an excellent sweeter alternative, especially since Nova will be discontinued and only closing stock remains. I’ll update this review with more wear time; for now, these are first impressions. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 8/10, Sillage: 7/10, Bottle: 9/10, Season: 🍁❄️🌸, Occasions: every day, especially evenings and nights.
It’s an absolute must-have for me. I first tried it during the pandemic, wearing masks; I had a sample on a tiny piece of paper and kept it in my wallet to smell whenever I needed a mood boost—it was so addictive. Once I bought it, I almost cried from joy. I’ve already ordered it three times and will keep doing so: it’s perfect. It’s indescribable; you just have to experience it.
I discovered this this year while testing Trésor samples. I was drawn to the bottle and its shape. It’s a milky, tender, and seductive perfume, like an adolescent love, reminiscent of roses steeped in cream with red fruits and a tangy touch. At first, it seems innocent, but it lingers on clothes and skin for hours, even the next day. In the dry-down, the musk emerges, leaving it soft and delicate. I like it; it’s very enveloping, ideal for evening-to-night and romantic days, though it’s not my all-time favorite.
I bought it on a trip, and it was a mistake. I just don’t like the black currant smell. It’s okay for nightwear, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
This has been my perfume all my life. I discovered it thanks to a friend’s mom when I was a child, and it got etched into my soul. I can’t remember how many bottles I’ve bought, but unfortunately, the price skyrocketed, and now it’s a luxury. Midnight Rose is elegant, mysterious, sweet, and addictive; it’s gotten me many compliments, and I feel beautiful every time I wear it.
I’m obsessed with this perfume; the blend of raspberry and vanilla is my thing, but be warned, over time it gives me nausea, perhaps due to the pink pepper. What a shame because the longevity is brutal and the scent is a marvel if you can handle that dizziness.
I found this perfume after selling my Angel Nova and using Very Good Girl. It certainly resembles Nova but isn’t as sharp or acidic. Plus, it has a green note that Nova lacks. If I have to choose, I prefer Trésor. It smells good but doesn’t drive me crazy. I’ll give my 30ml bottle more chances.
The opening is 100% citrus; the flowers are drowned out by an acidic juice of green lemon and black currants. Nothing sweet or sexy, more of a unique smell, and I also sense something metallic that leans towards citrus as it dries. I haven’t liked it at all; give it a try because I think it’s not for everyone. I don’t feel this brand’s DNA in this perfume: it’s harsh, not elegant or balanced at all, a disappointment.
I loved it so much I thought I’d already reviewed it, but turns out I hadn’t. It’s been my chosen perfume ever since I discovered it; I fell head over heels. I’ve placed it on a pedestal reserved for only one fragrance—it’s the one that captivates me the most. It’s perfect for me, day or night. Elegant, captivating, with that floral yet spicy opening: you can smell the rose, but not a sharp one; it’s blended with fruit, the raspberry, and that kick of pink pepper. With this, I realized my favorites must include scents with pink pepper, because it adds that soft spicy touch and prolongs the floral and fruity notes. Truly a delight. I don’t understand why some don’t like it, though I respect every opinion since we all feel differently. But this perfume seems so special, so well-crafted and exquisite, that I doubt I’ll stop wearing it for many years. Its trail is immense and its longevity is incredible, especially on clothes, where it lingers for a long time. Sometimes I wear a scarf without specifically spraying perfume on it, and just from being near my neck, it gets infused. Its durability is unbelievable. I don’t understand how people can say it lacks longevity; I think all Lancôme perfumes stand out for that, thanks to their great persistence. I could talk about this perfume for hours—it’s inspiring, wonderful, poetic, the most beautiful thing I’ve tried in years. It’s become my favorite and will stay there for a long time, definitely.
I love it. I first encountered it as a dupe and already want the original. It’s versatile, long-lasting, clean, intense, yet not overpowering… it’s the first on my wishlist! By the way, in my opinion, it reminds me of Angel Nova, but I prefer this one, so I own both. This smells more versatile and mature.
With over 200 perfumes in my collection, this is one of the few I finish and immediately repurchase—I’m on my third bottle already! I absolutely adore it. It’s such an addictive, enveloping, nocturnal, and winter-worthy raspberry scent… I love it! Plus, its trail and longevity are on another level. PERFECT!
It’s my favorite perfume!! (and I have about 10 others). A sweet raspberry with blackcurrants and some roses. I wore it on my mother’s day, so I have a special affection for it. It has good sillage and longevity. I find it sexy and very personality-driven. I heard they might discontinue it; I hope not. Perfectly usable for a romantic date and in winter.
I’ll summarize it in one word: sublime. It’s a delicate, creamy fragrance of flowers and sweet red fruits in a delicious balance. It has medium sillage, lasts 3-4 hours on me, is sweet, sexy, and ideal for night in cool climates. It can’t be denied that it’s related to Tresor, my perfume from the early 90s, with a loud cherry that made everyone smell my trail. This Trésor Midnight Rose is a beautiful perfume, one to keep.
I’m testing it thanks to a sample. It has a rich opening where I catch the raspberry, a bit of pepper, and the rose. The problem is that the latter turns powdery, and soon I start smelling vanilla and jasmine, which reminds me of an old lady and turns me off. Maybe it doesn’t happen with the original.
Ufff, what can I say about this beauty? First, I bought it blind, taking a risk because many voted that it’s similar to Angel Nova… and it is true. Trésor Midnight Rose has a spectacular opening of roses that are not powdery at all, but soft and velvety, with super sparkling red fruits. Then the red fruits continue to be felt but with a soapy touch and very nocturnal vibe at the same time (Angel Nova feels less like roses and is more fruity and versatile). It’s a bomb, leaves a ton of trail, and lasted about 8 hours on skin; on clothes, it lasts even longer. It’s incredible and mysterious, and the bottle is beautiful, like all in this line. I recommend buying blind for Angel Nova fans, though don’t expect it to be a clone.
It’s a very exquisite perfume; they say it’s similar to Angel Nova… what??? Please, it has nothing to do with that scent. This is an enveloping and addictive aroma; it doesn’t resemble the one mentioned above at all. It leaves a huge trail, and with a few sprays, you’re good for the whole day. I had two small bottles of that perfume, ideally for autumn and winter, but I wore it in 30-degree heat.
I’m very impressed by the similarity between Angel Nova EDP and this fragrance, both in its opening (more fruity) and heart; however, the dry-down of Trésor Midnight Rose is much finer and more seductive. I agree with those who describe it as a mysterious perfume; it really feels like a nocturnal rose, seductive and a bit dark. Personally, I’m wearing it in autumn, and it gives me that same feeling. All the listed notes are quite perceptible, resulting in a very elegant smoky dry-down that elevates the fragrance. The main notes I mostly perceive are raspberry, rose, pink pepper, and an intense woody base, almost smoky. The raspberry accords come and go to mark their presence, and there’s also a very subtle green note that adds freshness. As a single negative, I have a bottle from 2024, and it seems its longevity and sillage have decreased, even though the formula is somewhat oily. The projection is moderate, though it’s noticeable with movement. For me, it’s for day and night use, in autumn and winter. A sweet aroma in just the right measure, seductive in a romantic and nocturnal setting. A coquettish bottle in a lovely shade, now a classic of Lancôme.
Unlike Nova, this is a finer, more elegant version, I agree. Nova is youthful and more carefree. They only resemble each other slightly in the dry-down, but Midnight is more complex and elegant, even mysterious. Lancôme always has class.
To me, it’s elegant, modern, and sparkling. The juicy opening gives it dynamism, while the fresh, fruity rose adds contemporary elegance. I think it’s an excellent option for women entering the workforce and also a great blind buy gift.
They are similar yet different. They share beauty and intensity but play the game differently. Angel Nova is pure impact, immediate charisma, guilt-free pleasure, hedonism, and vanity from tip to toe. It doesn’t reflect; it’s like a cold, pink champagne—bubbly, excessive, happy to be looked at. It doesn’t promise depth; it promises enjoyment and delivers. Trésor Midnight Rose, on the other hand, seduces with ideas. It has authority, character, and a delicious darkness. It doesn’t intoxicate quickly; it convinces you, negotiates with you. In short, it’s like a deep red wine—somewhat astringent, elegant, unfolding slowly. It doesn’t seek applause; perhaps it seeks devotion. Both are beautiful, yes. But one conquers by brilliance, the other by gravity.
My mom gifted this to me for my final year of college right when I wanted to quit; she encouraged me to keep going and pursue what I truly loved. At 21, I wore it in Heidelberg during my Erasmus, during those mild, unpredictable autumns. It lasted until late November—the perfect season for this scent. I remember rainy days walking through the old town after class; seeing that landscape with this smell was incredible. I wore it for nightouts, and after traveling, it was still lingering on me and my leather jacket the next morning—the longevity is infinite. My first trips to Paris, Munich, Prague, and my favorite city, Berlin, are stored in this little bottle of deep pink rose. It’s sweet, sensual, and mysterious; it put me in tune with my deepest emotions, letting my sensitivity run wild to enjoy the beauty around me, stimulating all five senses and helping me make my first steps toward projecting myself as an art-loving person. A true gem.
