Angel Nova is watery and lacks that sharp note, which I like.
I bought it by mistake. The first time I sprayed it, I noticed it was fruity and watery; I didn’t love it. I let it macerate for a few days, and now it’s super intense and smells like plastic on my skin. I’d read about that plastic doll sensation before, and now I understand. I’ll let it macerate for another couple of weeks to see if it improves and will update the review.
Pleasant; it’s the first Arabic perfume I’ve tried, and I felt it was quite floral.
I don’t understand the reviews praising this perfume. I found it unbearable; it gave me a headache. It’s piercing and invades the entire room. It smells like plastic, acetone, alcohol, super strong odors. There’s something of fermented, off lychee. I can’t describe it because it’s quite ugly to smell again. I definitely dislike it a lot.
It has a fruity accord that reminds me of Chinola (passion fruit), it’s floral, tropical, and a bit sweet. A daily perfume for women, used in heat because it doesn’t weigh you down. I gifted it to my girlfriend and she loved it.
I’m a compulsive perfume buyer and bought all three Mayars together. Honestly, I thought I’d like this one more, but it was the least favorite. The opening is very strong and cloying. I’ve seen comments saying it’s fresh, but on my nose and pH, it feels heavy. At first, I smell a heavy raspberry, like sugary syrup, then it settles and becomes more wearable with the lychee. I’d wear it sparingly since I get dizzy at the start. It lasts about 8 hours with moderate sillage. In my opinion, I’d give it a 7/10.
I find it very youthful. It has something pleasant and isn’t terrible, but it’s a bit loud and synthetic. It’s not for anyone over 25, though it left me curious to try others with this DNA.
Explosive sweet grapefruit opening, then it softens. Ideal for spring/summer, very fruity.
It’s excellent, lasts all day, and is sweet but with fruity and white floral notes that aren’t cloying or heavy. It works for day wear all year round and for night, maybe a summer or spring evening. I bought it and haven’t stopped using it; it’s the richest fragrance I’ve tried, and I own several.
I bought it blind for the low cost and notes of raspberry and peony, which are my favorites. At first, it reminded me of a creamy, fruity paracetamol fever syrup from when I was a kid, exactly! Then, after half an hour, an acidic, jovial aroma, probably the lychee similar to passion fruit, but I don’t like how it settles on my skin. After half an hour, that sharp aroma fades and turns into a soft, barely perceptible sweetness, fresh but like any citrus body mist; I don’t feel it’s sweet, nor do I detect much raspberry or peony. It doesn’t last long on skin. It smells good on clothes, but I wouldn’t buy it again. I’d prefer to try Angel Nova, Tresor Midnight Rose, or Very Good Girl Glam, as I’m looking for more longevity, trail, and, above all, to actually smell the raspberry, which I didn’t feel in this one.
I’ve been wearing this for months. I always wanted to try Angel Nova because of all the compliments, but there were no testers at the perfume counters. After reading that it’s similar to Mayar, I decided to give it a shot. At first, I really disliked it—it was overly sweet with a bitter note that smelled bad to me, maybe the lychee with the raspberry or the florals. Since I’d already spent the money, I started wearing it to bed, and over time I began to like it. There’s still something that doesn’t fully convince me, but now I wear it willingly even though I didn’t want to before. It’s not my favorite scent, not really my type. From the line, I prefer Mayar Cherry, but this one ended up growing on me. If it smells like this, I don’t see the need to spend so much money. It’s nice, but not amazing.
When I smelled it, my mouth watered: citrusy, sweet, fresh, intoxicating. I can detect the lychee and sandalwood; Lattafa doing divine things.
I have an extensive and varied collection, from discontinued pieces to the most affordable ones, and I must say this is MY FAVORITE. I love it, I love it, I love it. The lychee is very noticeable, which is my favorite fruit in both taste and smell. I love its longevity: about 10 hours on me. I truly love it! ❤️
Mayar is for any occasion, especially summer thanks to the citrus touch, and springtime due to the floral and tropical fruit notes. It’s a delight, like a juicy, fresh flower. It reminds me of Bvlgari’s Omnia Coral but fruitier and with better longevity. I love the rose: very youthful, fresh, with a raspberry touch. The raspberry resembles Tresor Midnight by Lancome but much fresher. Summary: a scent of flowers with tropical fruits, fresh, for any occasion, uncommon, complex, and delicious, very feminine. You can really taste the raspberry. Longevity 8/10, trail 9/10, price slightly convenient. Would I buy it again? Yes, blindfolded.
I love it; it’s sweet and fresh at the same time. I live in a tropical climate and it works great for me. At first, it smells like passion fruit (I guess it’s the lychee mixed with raspberry), then in the dry down it’s just the raspberry with the florals. I think it’s versatile; it lasts 6 to 8 hours on my skin. It’s not cloying; it’s one of my favorites!
It’s a floral-sweet scent, not overwhelming, more for spring days. I expected more based on the reviews; I’m not a lychee fan, but it doesn’t bother me. It has good initial projection; the lychee and raspberry are very noticeable and energizing. The trail lasts about 3 hours, then it settles on the skin (if someone gets close or greets you, they can smell it). A good perfume for the collection; if you love floral-sweet scents, it’s a 10. UPDATE: It lasts a lot on clothes! I wore it on Saturday to visit my mom, and that blouse smelled like the perfume two days later. I’m generous with sprays and got complimented several times.
It’s delicious, WTF! I love it; it’s very fruity and sweet. It smells juicy, summery, joyful, and sugary. Very, very tasty, yes yes yes!
It’s a 99% dupe of Mugler’s Angel Nova. This one doesn’t envy the reformulation much; it’s fresher and fruitier, lacking that woody base that makes it feel older. It’s an explosion of raspberry and lychee from the first spray to dry down, adorned with floral notes. 100% for this summer if you’re a lychee fan and want something flirty and fun. Super affordable, long-lasting, clings to clothes, and has a wonderful trail. It doesn’t give me a headache like Angel Nova, though some people can’t tolerate lychee.
Mayar screams youth and fun! It’s sparkling, reminiscent of Angel Nova (though I haven’t tried the EDT, I can imagine it like that). Perfect for hot weather: eye-catching but not heavy. I’m obsessed!
Spectacular on opening, mid-notes, and dry-down. The opening is sparkling with dominant lychee. Then, in the mid-notes, the jasmine stays alongside the raspberry and lychee. The musk feels powdery. By the end of the wear time, which lasted 6 hours on me without needing to reapply, it’s still there. Projection is moderate to wide. I recommend it totally.
It’s awful. Others love it, but on my skin it turns sour, like overripe fruit. The same happens with the new cherry version. I’m not sure if it’s my fault since others have praised them, but I just feel a disagreeable scent.
The opening of lychee and raspberry is explosive and sharp, going deep into the back of your nose. It lasts a long time on skin and even longer on clothes; I spray it on my pillow and love sleeping with that fruity scent. But since it’s so explosive at first, I only apply two or three sprays; I don’t want to overwhelm anyone at 8 a.m. It’s very fruity and long-lasting.
I had high hopes based on the reviews. The opening is super juicy; that mix of lychee and raspberry even made me hungry. The problem was that it left my skin feeling sticky; I had to use a handkerchief to wipe it off. Still, the scent persisted for a very long time, mainly the rose. It’s a rich perfume if you’re into fruity florals where the rose shines; otherwise, you’re on the wrong track.
I absolutely love it. The lychee is so juicy and acidic; it’s one of my summer favorites. It has excellent projection and longevity; a little goes a long way and people will definitely notice you when you walk into a room. I love it, and the bottle is divine. I barely notice the roses, which I like because it gives it a vintage touch. It’s definitely in my top 5.
I tried it in a perfumery (on blotter paper) and thought it was insanely delicious. I bought a decant just to be sure, and the first time I sprayed 10 hits like I usually do. On public transport, a woman in front of me had to turn around and cover her nose due to the intensity (sorry, ma’am), and I ended up getting sick of the sheer intensity myself. Now I’m repulsed by it. Note: it’s not a bad perfume; it’s sparkling, super juicy, full of raspberry and lychee, and incredibly sweet, with just a hint of acidity. I’ve never heard of a perfume this sweet, even though I love gourmands. But this level of sweetness just makes me nauseous; one thing is trying it on paper for a moment, another is wearing it all day. I tried limiting it to three sprays, but it still feels too invasive. If you’re going to buy it, keep in mind it’s super sweet and invasive, and you’ll feel it all the time.
What a gorgeous perfume! It’s very similar to Angel Nova. I’m not sure if it’s just as it dries, but it gets sweet and reminds me of La Voie de Maison Alhambra (by Lattafa) and a bit of Tressor Midnight Rose. At first, it smells like Tucci Incanto di Fiore. Maybe the Mayar opening is sparklier due to the lychee, but then it becomes delicate, floral, fruity, and sweet. Super feminine. Longevity: needs more aging; I’d say about 6 hours, but it projects better once aged. It’s versatile, great for all year round, especially spring and summer. It’s one of those perfumes that instantly lifts your mood. Be careful when opening it—it opens from the bottom and requires some force. It’s cruelty-free and vegan.
I’ve had the Mayar for seven months. It’s a linear fragrance: starts fruity with a strong lychee and raspberry note, then fades and softens, but on my skin it doesn’t evolve or change at all. I should mention this is how it behaves after months; initially, it had more development, with rose and a powdery touch that I liked more. It lasts about three hours, then becomes very soft and close to the skin. It’s a rich scent, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
I tried it in a store and didn’t like it at all. It smells very artificial, super common, and cheap, and it doesn’t last at all (I tested it on my skin). My boyfriend didn’t like it either. I thought it would be delicious based on the good reviews, but it was a total disappointment 😔.
Lychee, lychee, and more lychee. It smells nice, but it’s a super linear fragrance; I don’t detect the other notes. For the price, it’s okay, but it feels very synthetic. I use it on routine days when I don’t want to smell special, just something familiar, because there’s nothing interesting about it.
Got this as a gift yesterday and I was blown away. I have alkaline skin and perfumes usually don’t last on me, but this one lasted 5 hours with an incredible trail. At first, it smells like sweet and spicy raspberry, then dries down to sweet and sugary. Once macerated, it smells like sweet fruits with flowers and sugar—it’s exquisite and feminine. I recommend it for everyday wear or when you want to feel elegant without being too formal. It smells youthful, sophisticated but not serious. It’s become my favorite; I’ve never found one this perfect. It smells like Angel Nova, but this dries down sweeter, and for the price, it’s insane. Don’t hesitate; if you like sweet floral fruity scents, buy it now.
As aggressively invasive as it is disgusting. I like several acidic fragrances, but this one is impossible to handle.
It’s a delight, made me happy when they gifted it to me. Although I won’t say it outright, it has a clear passion fruit note at the start and grapefruit after, very fresh. I’m surprised by its longevity; it’s been 6 hours and I can still smell it when they move their arms. Once dried, although it’s very similar to Mugler’s Angel Nova, it reminds me a bit of the discontinued The Beat by Burberry, one of my favorites, I’m not sure which note. Recommended, summery, feminine, clean, cheerful. I adore it.
This is acidic, radioactive acidic. Acidic enough to push you away. I don’t know if it’s the hype raising expectations or what, but this is super acidic lychee. I’m not interested in testing its longevity or anything else.
Saw many reviews saying it’s a dupe for Angel Nova, got curious and ordered it. The first spray on my wrist reminded me of Very Good Girl. I put one on each wrist and felt it was 90% similar to VGG. No complaints, lovely scent.
Fruity, spicy, strong and bold opening… then it settles into a subtler fruit and a fresh rose. Quite a bit of projection and sillage, lasts about 4 hours projecting before settling close to the skin.
Reminds me of Angel Nova, but I also detect a passion fruit note. I liked it, but it doesn’t last at all compared to Angel Nova. Still, I layer it and it works well.
I tried it and didn’t like it. I liked it a bit, but found it very acidic; I only smelled the lychee and it was too strong and dizzying. Now I have Khair Fusion, which also has lychee and smells similar, but it’s much sweeter.
I like it, but it doesn’t last long on the skin. I bought it to wear with Angel Nova for layering, but I wouldn’t recommend it on its own due to the short longevity.
I’ve been wearing it for a week and it’s still testing me. Very acidic, beyond just citrus, with a touch of sweetness. It just doesn’t work for me; it lacks sweetness and delicacy. On an empty stomach, the strong, piercing scent gave me nausea. I mix it with sweet fragrances, layered it with Ralph, and I can tolerate it then. I’ll save its freshness for summer and daytime only. 100% summer and day scent.
Super rich perfume, smells like super refreshing and sweet lychee. Great projection and longevity.
