This is a true gem. Upon application, it’s a cherry liqueur so potent you can almost taste it, just like the filling in Mon Chéri chocolates. What a shame it’s discontinued; it’s Viktor and Rolf’s best fragrance ever. If you’re looking for something similar but with raspberry, try White Rose by Alix de Atkinsons (another hidden treasure). The scents are nearly identical, and the notes are extremely similar.
Dancing Roses is a delicious brandied rose, something I’ve never experienced in any other fragrance—totally unconventional and unique! It opens with an absolute brandy note, and within two minutes, a radiant red rose emerges, softening that brandy. By the way, this isn’t just any brandy; it’s aged in fine, excellent barrels. A creamy aura appears with hints of incense, likely from the pepper and saffron, and the scent stays this way: creamy red roses bathed in a delicate fine brandy, intertwined with a halo of incense. It begins a theatrical performance where the rose wraps itself in brandy, executing a fabulous dance—firm and strong, almost primal at times, showcasing a beauty rarely perceived. Projection: EXCELLENT 100/100. Longevity: UNMATCHABLE, lasting over 10 hours.
