Attraction by Avon

I bought it blindly in summer and hated the strong, artificial smell (it lasts forever); I felt the musky heart notes too much. Months later, my perception changed: it’s special, original, and elegant. It’s outside my comfort zone, it takes some getting used to, but I like it.

It smells like Montale’s Ristretto Intense Café. On the bitter-sweet side, it reminds me of Natura’s Humor by Minha Vida, lucky that that blue one is no longer in their catalog. It’s sweet without being gourmand, vanilla, or amber. It opens fruity, and in the dry down, a exquisite orchide appears. I’ll use it for the rest of winter.

What a great perfume! Another Avon gem, a company I’ll continue to support for their fragrances. I’m a huge fan despite owning designer scents because their current prices are hard to beat in my country. I can’t resist buying their classics and older releases; the price is so accessible that you can enjoy fine, exquisite aromas. Sometimes you need to reapply, but that’s not a dealbreaker. About Attraction: I love it! It’s my favorite after Far Away. I once bought Rush from Mercado Libre thinking it was the classic and fell in love with the lotion, but it turned out to be Rush. I didn’t return it because I didn’t hate it, just I’m not a huge fan of perfumes with such strong chocolate notes. I used up the Rush, but it didn’t excite me. In contrast, I bought a travel size of the classic Attraction and absolutely adore it. So creamy! I think I like it because it shares notes with my beloved Far Away Glamour: blackberry, Madagascar vanilla, and pink pepper. Now I understand why I love both. It has the perfect sweetness and is super persistent on my skin. Unlike many who say Avon doesn’t last, some of their scents do on my skin, even the colognes. That makes me a fan because I can wear them without spending a fortune and feel well-dressed. Attraction deserves my respect and recommendations for anyone seeking sweet but not cloying fragrances, distinct from current gourmand trends. I’d rank it among Avon’s classics that should endure beyond trends and ages.

Very pretty, sweet for a young girl. The downside is it doesn’t have much of a trail; if you don’t get close, they won’t smell it, but it smells delicious :3

It lasts a long time and has a good trail, but I find it very powdery for my taste. It’s super fruity and sweet, but it doesn’t captivate me. I feel it’s warm but low quality; I didn’t like it much. The notes that stand out the most are blackberry and pear.

I’m a man and I wear it. It’s a creaminess that’s unisex; I couldn’t believe it lasted 12 hours on my skin, even after a shower. Great quality, it projects subtly, ethereally, and persistently, in a soft and diplomatic way. Fabulous. I recommend it to men; at this point, marketing labels don’t affect me 😉
