Pink Flamingos by Prada is a fruity floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2015, this composition was created by perfumer Daniela Andrier. Upon opening, bergamot, lime (green lemon), and lemon (sour lime) unfold a vibrant freshness. The heart reveals a complex harmony of cherry, Japanese rose (rugosa rose), iris, raspberry, rose, Hedione, peach, and blackcurrant. To close, violet, white musk, Iso E Super, and vanilla grant a warm and enveloping base.

I’ve never had a Japanese rose or its essential oil close enough to my nose, but I’d love to have liters of this fragrance. True to the description, you catch roses at the start, and within seconds, a sweet cherry note emerges. The initial burst fades after ten minutes, leaving a softened iris with rose and a green touch that makes it sparkling and refreshing—neither citrusy nor woody. Just roses, iris, and a tiny hint of citrus. A summer delight that adds a sophisticated, refined, and subtle vibe capable of keeping your spirits in full bloom. Moderate sillage, lasting over 12 hours; I could still smell it the next morning.
Juicy, innocent cherry… I love the iris note paired with cherry, something really unique and uncommon. It’s a powerful scent that lasts about 11 hours and lingers on the skin like a floral fruit tattoo.
We already know the talent of Daniela Andrier’s iris, and this is pure magic: fresh, elegant, yet versatile. It reminded me at times of my beloved Infusion d’Iris, but here there are many more flowers and fruits, making it more complex while keeping that easy-to-love vibe that radiates joy and well-being. I agree with those comparing it to the discontinued Rose Essentielle by Bvlgari; although this isn’t a rose perfume, they share that dominant mix of red berries and violet. Here, at Pink Flamingos, the iris and ylang-ylang make it round and original. It’s very ‘rosy’, but nothing like the grotesque John Waters movie; it’s too pretty for that. Imagine Margot Robbie in Barbie: it fits perfectly with that plastic, fun, stereotypically feminine aesthetic. It even smells like a doll. Ideal for daytime, especially summer by the pool or tropical beach, in a bikini with friends and cocktails dancing to Heidi Montag’s music 😂
