Gottlieb later became head of product development at Elizabeth Arden and Warner Cosmetics, where she took part in the creation of Gloria Vanderbilt.

In 1983, Gottlieb founded her consulting firm, Ann Gottlieb Associates, committed to providing specialized services for olfactive and product development in the fragrance industry.
