  • Z Zegna Milan is linear with a pleasant fruity opening that lasts 45 minutes before yielding to a predominant generic green iris. Of the series, Milan has greater projection and longevity, around 8 hours but 3 inches from the skin with moderate awakenings depending on the heat. At 5 hours, the base is similar to Z Energy but less complex; it’s evident they started from there. The focus is informal and youthful, not suitable for the office where it can be invasive. In the end, dry sandalwood is overshadowed by the iris, timid and irrelevant. As expected, the Cities collection targets young, inexperienced audiences with simple and commercial formulas, but without the quality of Z Energy. The Cities series is a total failure; they should cost $17, the ridiculous price of $50 is unjustifiable.

  • I like this version of Z Zegna, well-classified as an aromatic fruity. The opening is interesting with the fig giving it personality, nothing generic, very close to the natural scent of the fruit. Between the first 5 to 10 minutes it’s herbal and fruity, then the fruitiness increases slightly with a touch of sweetness. After an hour and a half, it approaches the original Z Zegna with soft, pleasant woods. Z Zegna Milan is a good proposal, different from many recent fresh scents. The fig isn’t overdone and gives it originality. On me, it lasted over 8 hours with decent projection. Ideal for any occasion, light and fresh, though with less power in winter. I don’t recommend buying blindly, but it’s worth trying.

Greetings. Of the three, this is the one I liked the most because it’s a very uncommon scent thanks to the fig note, which is very present and realistic. It smells rich and fruity. Highly recommended for being almost unique. The fixative is very good; I’m a difficult customer and this lasts me at least 8 hours.

I admit the opening can be jarring: fig leaves, strident, and a bit synthetic. But the dry-down is a different story. Creamy fruity wood sensation, excellent balance, with an almost imperceptible herbal base. It has more notes than declared, it’s good, even delicious. Great development, good longevity, and an unusual scent. You get a touch of coconut cream, a herbal base, and the predominant fig that makes it unique. Ideal for summer and maybe spring; it loses potency in the cold. If you don’t like fig, test it first. Limited edition, hard to find, price goes up. Don’t be scared, give it 15 minutes and you’ll see how good it is. Edit: Definitely versatile, charming, great performance, and full of compliments. Fruit, wood, intriguing simplicity, summer-spring vibe. In the middle of clones of Invictus, Sauvage, and Aventus, this stands out and makes you unique. Scent 9, Longevity 8, Sillage 7, Price 8.

  • The fig scent is very characteristic. I see it for cold climates or informal date nights. It’s an aroma far from the commercial ones. What a pity it was a special edition and is now discontinued.

  • Very original and complex fragrance, more than what the description says. The dry-down is fabulous: opens with subtle fruity fig, well-spiced, and then I smell a lot of sandalwood. I recommend it, especially for the price, the pleasant and original aroma, and its respectable longevity. Also, the presentation for this price is great. I love it.

  • A very original and complex fragrance, even more than the description suggests. The dry-down is fantastic: opens with a subtle, fruity fig, well-spiced, then I get a lot of sandalwood. I recommend it, especially for the price, the pleasant and original scent, and its respectable longevity. Plus, the packaging for this price point is excellent. I love it.

  • Nothing like Philosykos. The fig here is green, almost acidic, with more leaf than fruit. It dries quickly to sandalwood in the mid-stage. Much more woody than I expected. Potent: with Miyake Pulse of the Night on the other wrist, this one dominates. Reminds me of Givenchy Gentleman Casual Chic mixed with Fahrenheit. Edit: A marvel. Synthetic? Yes. Do they smell good? Absolutely. Is it worth it? Definitely. Philosykos is more natural and sweet, but in my opinion, it’s more linear and less effective. Being faithful doesn’t make it better. Great surprise, and even though it’s discontinued, it’s a must-buy. Super versatile: sport, day, evening, spring, summer… Call me a heretic.
