What We Do in Paris is a secret, which is also its name. It seems the secret is lots of vanilla and nothing new, honey and vanilla gently intertwined with that almond touch from tonka bean. I don’t know why they classify it as floral fruity; to my nose, it’s sweet and vanillic, very tender and romantic, but nothing innovative except for the name. If you like dominant vanilla, you’ll like it. For me, it’s all flash and no substance.
First off, a huge round of applause for Dominique Ropion, a visionary in the industry. Without getting into technical details, it’s a well-crafted and very pleasant fragrance. The whole composition has a soft, balanced sweetness that shows great mastery in controlling each note. In my view, it doesn’t seek to shine but to enchant. It’s not a niche masterpiece, but certainly a notable composition.
Diapers. And that’s it. In my opinion, it’s not worth it, plus it doesn’t last at all.
