The Queen of Sheba strides arrogantly into the throne room. Men desire her; women envy her. Her hair is pulled up in a high bun decorated with matching pearls and rubies, paired with a garnet velvet cape. Beneath her chest, the neckline of her sumptuous dress reveals a hint of skin as the fabric sways to the rhythm of her hips. She looks ahead, searching for one of her slaves who quickly arrives with a tray and a glass of wine. She sits majestically, offering no smile. She tilts her head, and two of her ladies open a door at the back. Everything is ready; the guests are arriving. A soft, warm, and alluring aroma envelops the room, and the party can begin.

The Queen of Sheba takes her place on the throne, and everyone stops to stare. High hair adorned with pearls and rubies, a garnet cape, and a dress that accentuates every movement. She calls for her slave with a glass of wine, sits without smiling, and lets the party begin. The scent that emerges is warm, soft, and highly alluring, ready to kick off the night.

  • It’s currently my sister’s signature scent, and she has the best taste I know. It’s elegant, warm, inspiring, comforting, and beautiful, with a predominance of moss and jasmine. Exquisite.

A walk with Bottega Veneta is a whole experience and a pleasure. It’s strange that it leaves people indifferent; it’s striking and generous. It’s not complex, and the notes develop without rush, without a strict order. Pink pepper stings at first, jasmine offers a flawless floral aspect (perhaps with a hidden rose), patchouli is evident, and oakmoss gives it a unisex character, marking more its leather leitmotif. No notes stand out; they’re harmonized, waiting their turn in a dialogue among all of them. Michel Almairac achieves a personal and inimitable perfume, very distinctive of the wearer, that instills confidence and is easy to wear without being boring. Beneath the elegance and good taste, it reaches an outstanding degree of seduction, with innate attraction. All its notes remind us of beautiful things we’ve all experienced. It has cachet, presence, and originality, with that passion only Almairac knows how to give. It’s a modern 2011 fragrance, still little known in Spain, that is bound to make a lot of noise. The best part is everything it offers to feel; I foresee it will be much and unlimited.

A leather fragrance sprinkled with beautiful flowers, which could be unisex without any issues.

Bottega Veneta is an exquisite perfume with a bergamot and pink pepper opening that quickly transitions to jasmines, spices, and an undeclared plum note. In the dry down, there’s a lot of patchouli, oakmoss, and leather. The notes aren’t as orderly; it’s peculiar to perceive the leather mixed with jasmine and patchouli in the opening, creating an airy and symphonic effect. You can also detect the oakmoss. It’s a creation by Michel Almairac, classic yet modern, minimalist in notes but smelling opulent and expensive. It’s decidedly unisex, seductive, and cheerful. I don’t see it tied to a specific season; it depends on applications and the time of day. I’d categorize it as a great perfume, bearing the stamp of Almairac’s genius, who created hits like Joop! Homme. A fragrance to enjoy.

I tested this Bottega Veneta feminine fragrance and liked it more than the men’s version. It’s floral with a jasmine heart, spicy tones of pink pepper, and earthy notes of vetiver and patchouli. There’s a subtle citrus touch in the opening and perhaps a hint of leather, but softer than the rest. It’s very well blended and balanced; nothing stands out too much. It’s different from others and smells frankly good. I find it unisex, though it would suit a woman better. Longevity is decent, lasting over 6-7 hours, but the sillage is very skin-close, maybe too much. A very pleasant surprise.

I’ve owned it twice, and each time it seems more expensive, but it’s worth the price. It’s a charming and unique perfume; nothing compares to it; it was a surprise. It’s not for young girls, though tastes vary; it’s an exquisite treat. The design is simple because the content matters most, although the bottle glass is gorgeous. I’ll surely repurchase when I run out of what I have; I hope the price drops a bit for my wallet. It’s a perfumery jewel with fantastic longevity and sillage.

It’s not for young girls; it’s an exquisite choice. Simple design because the content is what matters, though the bottle is very beautiful glass. I’d definitely repurchase; I have several left to finish, and I hope the price drops for my wallet. It’s a gem in perfumery, with excellent longevity and a fantastic trail.

It’s elegant, haughty, and distinguished. I love its wet earth scent, thanks to a very high-quality vetiver. The accompanying leather is perfect, balanced by pepper, spikes, and a very soft jasmine. For me, it’s an olfactory delight; I can’t be without it. It’s one of my signature scents for winter.

  • To me, it just smells like bergamot, jasmine, and patchouli. The patchouli leads to bursts and almost makes me imagine a leather note, which I don’t detect anywhere. I also don’t sense the oakmoss. The patchouli almost dominates everything else.

  • To me, it just smells of bergamot, jasmine, and patchouli. The patchouli takes charge, almost dominating everything. The leather note is something I almost have to imagine, same with the oakmoss, which I can’t detect anywhere.

  • On my skin, it’s fairly linear: suede, oakmoss, a bit of pepper, and patchouli. I don’t sense the sweet notes, which gives it a coolness that makes it stand out. It’s a serious, sensible chypre with little sillage but lasts all day on the skin. I see it as perfect for the office when you need confidence; in my imagination, it smells like Miranda Priestly. I’d say it’s a men’s perfume for women, ideal for cold climates. Pleasant: 7/10, Interesting: 8/10, Versatile: 7/10, Original: 8/10.

I don’t detect the sweet notes, which gives it a coolness that makes it stand out with a serious, sensible vibe. It doesn’t have much of a trail, but it lasts all day on the skin, perfect for the office when you need confidence (it reminds me of Miranda Priestly). • Bottega Veneta smells like luminous leather—no gasoline notes, just elegant suede with a touch of bergamot and pink pepper that gives it light. It has something mossy, along with notes of jasmine and patchouli that are hard to pinpoint, but it’s sensual and sexy. It’s not meant to grab attention from afar, but to draw people in for a closer sniff. It’s elegantly discreet, ideal for the office or a date because it’s very carnal, blending with the skin and enhancing your natural scent without being just ambroxan. I bought it blind, and while it didn’t kill me as I hoped, over time I’ve come to see it as super sexy. It’s unisex, leaning feminine but very sexy on men. It lasts about 5-6 hours on the skin and then another 2-3 hours as a skin scent. Perfect for fall-winter or spring, but maybe not summer. Worth it if you’re looking for something intimate, non-commercial, and you know what you want.

  • I’d describe it as a luminous leather. It’s an easy-to-wear leather, perfect if you like the note but hate the gasoline smell; here, the leather is elegant. Bergamot and pink pepper give it that brightness, avoiding anything dirty or animalistic. There’s a mossy touch, though the jasmine and patchouli are hard to detect. It’s sensual and sexy, elegant yet discreet: not meant to catch attention from afar, but to make someone very close feel your presence. Perfect for the office without being overwhelming or for a date; it’s carnal and blends with the skin like an enhanced aroma, even if it’s not pure ambroxan. I bought it blind, and while it didn’t kill me as I expected, over time I’ve come to see it as a super-sexy jewel. It’s unisex, leaning feminine, but on a man, it would be brutal. The sillage is intimate, lasting about 5-6 hours on the skin before settling closer to the skin. Ideal for autumn-winter, maybe spring, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing it in hot summer. Worth it if you’re looking for something non-commercial, intimate, and elegant, but test it first because every skin is different.
