I’d give anything to find this gem again.
Reviewing a sample my sister gave me when she was a reseller. It starts citrus-floral with fresh fresa and bitter orange or tangerine, then moves to woods softened by musk. It’s perfect for summer.
I’m surprised it has so few reviews; I guess it was discontinued so quickly that few people got to know it. I’m not an expert; most were catalog scents, especially Avon. I bought it on impulse and it became my favorite of all the Avon, other catalog, and high-end perfumes I smelled in Liverpool XD. I bought the last True Glow in 2009; once I found out it was discontinued, I only wore it for special occasions, and 11 years later I still have it, with half left. I detect citrus, incense, red apple, wood, and musk; it was unisex but leaned feminine. I’m not good at describing perfumes, but I’ll just say it smelled very sexy, made me feel secure, and many men said it smelled great without me asking, coming over on their own. Sometimes I think it made me look prettier than I actually am XD. Check the English and Russian reviews on Fragrantica and you’ll know what I’m talking about. 😉
It’s unisex; when I bought it, a gay friend wore it and it smelled masculine on him. I stopped using it because I don’t like others wearing my perfume, not because I’m selfish. I wore it again recently; it’s sober, citrusy, and woody.
I’m giving it another chance; it doesn’t disgust me as much as I thought. I’ve promised it to a friend who adores it. It smells like wood with an oriental edge, then warms up, becoming exotic. It has lasting sillage, lasts forever on clothes, and smells unisex but leans feminine on the female side. It’s discontinued, so I reiterate that it will go to better hands, one of the thousands who see this as a gem.
