  • I owned this perfume for many years, then it was discontinued, so I kept buying it online, but over time it became very light, perhaps due to poor storage. It’s very similar to the old Dior Addict, but with a hint of lemon. Vanilla isn’t listed here, but I swear it’s there. It’s a shame that Boucheron pulled this perfume; only a madman would do that :-(.

  • The perfume of addiction, of seduction—you’ve fallen into its trap, and now you can’t get away from its scent. You’ll remember it forever; it has hooked you. You looked into the serpent’s eyes, and it has completely captivated you. A symbol of eternal youth, rebirth, and fertility… There are two caps: one with two serpents joining mouths in a jewel, and another with a single coiled snake, in the style of the Pure Parfum bottle. If I recall correctly, the single snake cap was the first. The opening is fresh with a touch of vanilla sweetness; right away, you start smelling jasmine and amber, and although vanilla isn’t listed here, I’m sure it’s there, or perhaps a similar aromatic wood. For me, it’s a soft perfume that’s a luxury in spring and summer—I guarantee people will turn their heads as you pass. Very close to Addict, more like the new formulation than the original, though not identical; they travel the same line. Loving both, Trouble still feels even more special to me. As they say at Osmoz: Trouble is like a spell, and the woman who wears it reveals herself, breaking taboos. She seduces with her aura and mysterious sensuality. Eyes stop, voices fall silent. Then only her perfumed, unsettling trail remains…

  • Hey, I get a super soft version of this on my skin. In fact, I don’t wear it in winter because it gets lost in the cold; I prefer it in summer. Maybe it just lacks the humidity of your country to project as strongly as you do :-))))

This is the favorite perfume of the forum friend who wrote earlier. Here’s my unbiased take: for me, it’s dominated by jasmine, with the citrus note barely perceptible. The amber base is noticeable, but I couldn’t quite distinguish the cedar, and definitely not the dyer’s broom—I honestly don’t know that scent well enough to identify it in a fragrance. The first thing I notice is that it’s very strong and intrusive (I have that same impression with almost all Boucheron scents I know). I wouldn’t recommend it for tropical climates like mine (my mom only wears it for special night events). In the long run, I think Boucheron tried to launch something to compete with Dior’s Poison (in concept, not in scent)—a sensual fragrance for a femme fatale—but I don’t think they succeeded. Good longevity, projection, and sillage. The scent doesn’t fully convince me; it feels a bit old-fashioned (maybe because I’ve mostly smelled it on my mother, though I did test it on my skin and sprayed it timidly). It should be applied with care; it’s quite potent. Even though my review is neutral, I share the previous friend’s opinion: Boucheron shouldn’t have discontinued it, but rather given it a chance to appeal to current tastes and respect its loyal followers.

  • That sweetness of this perfume is so addictive. The bad part is that it’s no longer available. I didn’t even use it; I only tried my friend’s bottle… I almost ran over to steal it, lol.

  • At first, you notice the lemon, then it fades, but the vanilla becomes as dense as in YSL’s Cinema—too heavy and edible.

  • I almost bought it 6 years ago, tried it, and loved it so much, especially that rich vanilla note that stood out the most. I don’t know what happened, but I went for Dior Pure Poison instead and have regretted it a thousand times since then, especially now that I know it’s discontinued. What a shame.

Finally snagged a 75ml bottle in Mexico at a great price. I didn’t know the scent at first, but the reviews convinced me. It’s super pleasant and not overpowering on my skin—you notice it, but it doesn’t give you a headache. Starts with lemon, lasts about 5 minutes, then explodes into vanilla that reminds me of Dior Addict but less intense. It’s incredible that it doesn’t use real vanilla! It has that raw, uncooked bean vibe from the vanilla extract bottles, giving it a natural touch rather than a dessert-like feel. There are some woods and a jasmine that barely peeks through. Lasts 10 hours with a soft but noticeable trail. I agree with Fragrantica: it sits between Addict and YSL’s Cinema. It’s my first Boucheron and I love it—perfect for evening wear and cold weather. It made me want to explore more from the house. If you like vanilla scents without being too gourmand, give it a try; you won’t regret it.

  • I find this perfume has basically three phases with very high-quality ingredients. An almondy opening (balanced, not too acidic) as a fresh note. Followed by a floral touch with intense jasmine that, as the hours pass, gives way to orange blossom. Then the resins enter with that vanilla hint that adds the sweet, attractive final touch to this masterpiece. It’s sensual, sweet, and soft, right on the border of being a skin scent. The main charm lies in the contrast between its transparency and a warm base (moderately vanilla), with the jasmine adding softness and richness. The citrus note doesn’t fade after the opening; it persists and adds clarity. Trouble smells delicate and refined on my skin. We want it BACK!

Followed by a floral touch with very intense jasmine that, as the hours pass, gives way to an orange blossom. Here come the resins with that vanilla-like touch that provide the final point of sweetness and allure to this masterpiece. It’s a sensual, sweet, and soft perfume, right on the border of being a skin scent. Its main charm, I’d say, lies in the contrast between its transparency and a warm base (moderately vanilla-like), with the jasmine note adding softness and richness. The citrus touch doesn’t abandon us after the opening; it persists, giving clarity to the fragrance. Trouble smells delicate and refined, at least on my skin. We want it BACK !!!

  • Elegant spring scent. Versatile, refined, and captivating. It has a moderate trail, nothing intrusive, that adds great elegance. On one hand, the jasmine brings femininity, while the resins give it that addictive quality that sparks so much interest. It’s also flawless as an evening scent. I run a café-pastry shop and deal with lots of people daily (much of the clientele is fashionable, given the location), so I evaluate how my scents impact others. That doesn’t affect my personal perception; I wear them for my own delight, but I like to ‘study’ their effect. It’s a hobby: Trouble is fascinating to the point that I had to give a restock to a wonderful customer.

  • This is the most genuine fragrance I’ve ever smelled. It feels like the epitome of high-quality perfumery. UNMATCHABLE.

  • Another great find thanks to your reviews. Bought blind online after a long wait… and it was absolutely worth it. This is the kind of perfume they no longer make, and that’s true. Reminds me of Cinema as you say, but this is more exquisite and has better longevity. It lasts all day without being overwhelming, with that exquisite vanilla scent even though I don’t wear vanilla myself. For me, one of the best I’ve ever tried. Can’t wait to explore more of this line. A 10 from Boucheron.

  • Another great find thanks to your reviews. I bought it blindly online after waiting a good while, and it was absolutely worth it. It’s a discontinued fragrance, as you say, reminiscent of Cinema but more exquisite and with better longevity; it lasts all day without being overpowering, carrying that elegant vanilla scent even though I don’t usually wear it. For me, it’s one of the best I’ve ever tried. I’m eager to explore more perfumes in this category. A solid 10 for Boucheron.

  • Fragancias y momentos

Despite how little-known it is, this is one of the best. Simple in its notes but with complex nuances. It’s refined, very natural, and truly intoxicating. In my case, I don’t agree with Raquel 73 regarding the intensity (maybe it’s storage), because mine is very potent; one spray lasts a couple of days even with showers. In fact, it might be one of the most intense fragrances I own. It’s a shame it’s no longer available and that when I find it, prices are astronomical. Is it worth it? For me, yes, because I can’t find any dupe. As Raquel put it: ‘SEDUCE WITH YOUR AURA.’

  • Ohhhhhh, this one smelled absolutely exquisite. It became my second all-time favorite, right after Alchimie Rochas for cold days, and this one for warmer weather. I was completely captivated. I’m not great at identifying notes or describing scents, so all I can say is how it made me feel. Trouble by Boucheron empowered me. I felt amazing wearing that exquisite, intoxicating scent that made me incredibly happy. The day I went to buy a bottle and found out it had been discontinued, and I didn’t even have a single milliliter left, nearly broke my heart. The heartbreak brands give us with discontinuations and reformulations… and the worst part is I never even find out about it.

  • Ohhhhhh, this one smelled exquisite. It was my second great love—the first was Alchimie Parfums de Rochas for cold days, and this one for mild weather. I was absolutely fascinated by it. I’m not great at identifying notes, but what it conveyed to me was power. I felt amazing wearing this intoxicating scent that made me incredibly happy. The day I went to buy it and found out they had discontinued it, and I didn’t even have a single milliliter left, it really got to me. The heartbreak of brands discontinuing their fragrances… and the worst part is I never even find out about it.

  • Lara Valentina

Discontinued. It was my perfume of choice until it vanished. Unbeatable. The price was ridiculous for the quality it offered. No one walked away indifferent, and I never met a single person who didn’t like it.

  • Miperfumegatuno

Why did they throw away such a gem? Both the bottle and the scent are treasures. It’s sweet, not overpowering, and as nocturnal as a kiss.
