Descripción

Aramis Tobacco Reserve is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by perfumer Edouard Fléchier. Its top notes of clary sage and black currant give way to a heart of tobacco leaf, nutmeg, and iris root, closing with a base of tonka bean and oakmoss.

  • Tobacco Reserve is pure wood with tobacco as the star. It starts wild: dry tobacco, a green touch, and even a hint of raw cinnamon that lasts for a few hours. Then it settles into a relaxed base of tonka bean. It’s for those seeking realistic tobacco; it’s not youthful, but mature, not very versatile, and only for those with plenty of confidence. Ideal for fall and even winter. Longevity is very good, though projection is moderate.

  • Tobacco Reserve is purely woody, where the tobacco shines on its own. Wild opening with dry tobacco and green notes; you can even perceive raw cinnamon, which lasts for a few hours before relaxing and letting the tonka bean base emerge. It will please those seeking realistic tobacco; it’s not youthful, it’s mature, it doesn’t allow much versatility, and the wearer must be confident. Appropriate for autumn and even a bit of winter. Very good duration, though average projection.

  • What a gentleman’s aroma. Quality tobacco, very pleasant. The opening is spectacular: that dry tobacco flooding everything is what I love, and the sweetness afterwards doesn’t interfere. It’s very well made and balanced. I notice some incense and a subtle camphor touch. It’s addictive. On my skin, the performance is notable: at 8 hours, it’s detectable at 20cm without issue (I tested it with my girlfriend, and she smells it clearly). I see it for autumn/winter, maybe spring. Like others, I think it’s not versatile; more for formal night outs, a serious scent that dresses the wearer. If you find it at a good price and like classics, it could be an underappreciated gem for the collection. Excellent, for real. You can even tell the quality of the atomizer.

  • Rich, liqueur-like, almond, and honeyed tobacco, inspired by a fine Cuban tobacco of great beauty, like a fine aged liquor. Inspired by the best aged tobacco, with sweet notes from tonka, green, dry, and slightly camphorated by nutmeg, blackcurrants, and that rare touch of ripe fruit. It’s potent but not overpowering; it’s meant to be enjoyed for hours of exquisite, addictive aroma if it’s a very fine EDP. If it reminds you of Mugler Pure Havane, here it’s finer, more camphorated, halfway between almond liqueur and tobacco.

  • Interesting and curious perfume from Estée Lauder. It’s changing, shifting between green, camphorated, dry, nutmeg, woods, tobacco, and tonka. To me, it smells like mixed incense. At times the tonka is heavy, but the perfume quickly shifts to sober and dry. Very mature and old-school, far from current trends, which is refreshing. Excellent performance, good longevity, and interesting sillage. Personally, I liked it and it’s worth it if the price is right. Not very versatile or easy to wear; more for personal enjoyment, very subjective. Recommended for lovers of dark, tobacco-based, old-school perfumes. Of all the current Aramis offerings, I think it’s one of the best. Highly recommended, at least give it a try.

  • What an aroma, sir! It’s a high-quality tobacco that delights the nose. The opening is spectacular: that dry tobacco that floods everything suits me perfectly, and the sweetness that follows doesn’t take anything away from the main note. It’s very well made and balanced. I also detect a touch of incense and some very subtle alcoholic notes. It’s truly an addictive scent. On my skin, the performance is notable: after 8 hours, it’s still noticeable at 20 centimeters without issue (I just tested it with my girlfriend, and she can smell it clearly). While I see it as perfect for fall and winter, even in spring, I agree with those who say it’s not the most versatile; better suited for formal night outings because it’s a serious scent that gives a great image. If you can find it at a good price and you like classics, it could be a great candidate for a blind buy—a little-known gem to add to your collection… Absolutely fantastic, for real. You can even tell the quality of the bottle’s applicator.

It’s autumn, an open space with plants, and suddenly blackcurrants and a touch of cardamom hit you. That’s how Aramis Tobacco Reserve opens. Those sweet/green notes mix with tobacco, nutmeg, and iris root to create a narcotic effect. At two meters, people will say, ‘Wow, that guy smells great!’ The best part is the dry down: tonka bean and oakmoss make it elegant, with personality and very well crafted. One of Aramis’ best! Its peak moments are cool nights, but it also works well on cold mornings.

  • Hard to describe. It doesn’t smell like Eau Des Bavx or Chergui like others say. To me, it’s more linear with good performance. It’s a sweet-green-tobacco blend, all mixed together and abstract. Good first impression from a house that releases interesting things and then ditches them (like the Calligraphy line).

  • I had high hopes… Tobacco Reserve is a very peculiar and unique fragrance. I expected a more powerful tobacco, but quite the opposite; it’s fairly discreet; neither the opening is ‘in your face’ nor does it stay strong, dropping to skin-level within minutes, though still perceptible as a very soft whisper. Sweet and subtle notes of nutmeg and tonka vanilla without losing their elegance. Maximum longevity is 5 hours with 5 sprays, which is barely acceptable in performance 🙁 It’s discreet and stately yet sensual. Fragrance: 8, Sillage: 5, Longevity: 5, Price: 6, Originality: 9. Would I buy it again? NO. Does anyone want it?

  • I had high expectations… Tobacco Reserve is peculiar and unique. I expected potent tobacco, but it’s discreet; the opening isn’t even ‘face-to-face,’ fading to skin-level within minutes but remaining soft. Sweet hazelnut and tonka bean without losing elegance. Maximum 5 hours with 5 sprays, barely acceptable 🙁 It’s discreet, dignified, and sensual. Rating: 8/10 for scent, 5/10 for sillage, 5/10 for longevity, 6/10 for price, 9/10 for originality. Would I buy it again? NO. Does anyone want it?

  • At first, it smells like vanilla with a tobacco base, like an old, potent cologne version of Tobacco Vanille. Today it feels more watery, much like Aramis: moderate-to-low sillage for about 4 hours, then shifts to vanilla/amber. By hour 12, I can only smell it up close. It felt like a failed attempt, something already seen a thousand times. Average quality; it gets on my nerves quickly because it’s so monotonous. Feels formal and for cold weather; a bit boring. I wouldn’t wear it more than once or twice a week, honestly, I’d switch it out.

  • At first, it smells vanilla-forward with a touch of tobacco in the background; it seemed like a cologne version of Tobacco Vanille, which was sold 4 or 5 years ago and was quite potent. I don’t doubt that the current version is at the same diluted level as the Aramis one; at this stage, it has had a low-to-moderate sillage for about 4 hours while retaining that scent, then it shifts to vanilla/amber until the end. After 12 hours, I can still feel it, but only right next to the skin. It seemed like a failed attempt, a fragrance that tried to stand out in the tobacco section. It’s not a bad smell, but it’s something that’s been seen many times before; its quality isn’t great, and in the end, it bores or irritates me because honestly, it’s very monotonous. Formal type and for cold climates, a somewhat boring fragrance that I wouldn’t wear more than once or twice a week because it gets tiring quickly; honestly, I’d switch to something else.

  • Great vibe: dry, subtle tobacco soaked in glazed donut liquor with a hint of cinnamon. At a party, this makes you smell like honey. On my skin and experience, it beats Paco, Jean Paul, Dkny, and the rest.
