  It’s a decadent, nostalgic scent; ‘Last Day of Summer’ doesn’t refer to the end of the vacation, but rather to first youth. It opens dry with cypress, cedar, and vetiver, like a park scorched by the sun that’s just starting to cool down. After an hour, the earthy patchouli emerges, and depending on the temperature, it gradually sweetens with nutmeg (more heat, more sweetness). It’s a pity it doesn’t project much, though it does last about 10-12 hours.

  It’s a decadent, nostalgic fragrance; ‘Last Day of Summer’ isn’t about the end of the holidays, but a metaphor for saying goodbye to childhood or early youth. It opens with a very dry blend of cypress, cedar, and vetiver, reminiscent of a park scorched by the sun that begins to cool in the late afternoon. Around an hour later, the earthy patchouli comes out, and as the temperature rises, it slowly sweetens due to the nutmeg (more heat, more sweetness). It’s a shame it doesn’t project much, although it does last around 10-12 hours.

  It brings out nice woody notes and a pleasant base, but I don’t find it overly distinctive or memorable compared to other fragrances in the black bottle collection. What really throws me off is the longevity; I’m not sure if this is an issue with all the white bottles (I’ve read others like the Rose version fade quickly), but this one either gives me nose fatigue very fast or the decant was defective, because it feels like it lasts only a breath. Plus, I expected something more punchy and powerful based on reviews, but what I got is very balanced and perfectly unisex.
