I bought it blind for the price and loved it. Based on the name, I thought it would be gourmand, but it’s a ‘sister’ to DG’s Light Blue; the notes are very similar and on skin they’re 80% identical. For the price, I recommend it 100%. Longevity and projection are average. If you like Light Blue and want one to reapply guilt-free, this is your option.
Ginger is the protagonist in the dry down, so much so that I felt it was ticklish. It reminded me of 31 Herbs oil. I didn’t test it on skin, but on blotter paper, and there it kept that medicinal sting. Recommended for sinus sufferers.
I remember a movie with my grandmother where lemon sorbet was served between courses to cleanse the palate. I used Tartelette Citron the same way to reset my nose after other perfumes. It’s citrusy, but what hits me most is the citronella; it smells like mosquito repellent candles to me. It smells good, but it feels flat. I’m missing the freesia, which I adore and can’t find; the jasmine and cedar are ghosts, just like the white woods. Of the three (pink, green, yellow), I’m sticking with Macaron Amande—a delight with character, a dessert that satisfies without cloying. Tartelette Citron is like that palate-cleansing sorbet: it doesn’t bother, but it doesn’t nourish either.

I expected something citrusy and sweet with gourmand touches of lemon, cookies, or vanilla, but I find it herbal, fresh, and spicy. Of the similar ones, the one that comes closest is ARSLP’s Gotaa de Color, although Light Blue is more woody than spicy. Would I buy it? Maybe, but only when my citrus scents run out. I like the bottle; it reminds me of a bakery, but the scent doesn’t.

I was quite disappointed. I expected a gourmand scent, like a lemon pie or lemon cookie, but no. It smells like those fresh citrus perfumes used in summer and it fades quickly. It’s just that. It’s not worth it and it doesn’t last at all, although it projects a bit more than the green or pink ones. I really don’t recommend it.
