I can’t be impartial about this perfume. That juicy plum unfolding takes me back to my childhood. To a routine dessert, nothing special; the kind my mother would pull out with freshly bought plums. Big, slightly acidic, delicate to the touch, aromatic. A scent that has accompanied me beyond that moment. It has been afternoons watching TV with her, trips, sunrises, etc., and it always followed that maternal halo that in childhood feels almost celestial. This perfume evokes that simpler life, that childhood, and above all, that woman who in a child’s eyes was everything.
Narciso Rodríguez has us accustomed to world-class quality, regardless of whether you like their styles or not. Although they don’t declare it in the notes, I sense a patchouli with an incense-like smell. It’s very beautiful and lasts quite a while on skin. Like all from this house, it doesn’t follow fashion trends, which is why I calculate you either love or hate it. Test before buying, and if you like it, let yourself be carried away!
It was poised to be a favorite because its aroma captivated me: plums, a bit of rose, vanilla, and musk—that’s what I perceive. A super sophisticated, feminine, and captivating scent… but what a disappointment the performance is. I’m not someone whose perfumes wear off badly, and yet, despite drenching myself in it, it disappears in 2 hours and no one smells it around me. Not even on clothes.
There are two types of consumers who either love or hate this upon trying it; I leaned toward the second option. Trying to switch to more potent and interesting fragrances, I went to the perfumery to test it, but no. I didn’t like it at all, please don’t buy blindly!
As soon as I smelled it, it transported me to a time in my life when I used Dream Angels Forever by VS; it’s very similar to me, very rich and wearable. I loved it.
DIFFERENT AND SPICY, I like it. The first thing you feel is the pepper, which confuses you at first, but I absolutely love it. It’s for night, but not those heavy ones that leave a huge trail. I like it, but it stays very soft on the skin; I’d wear it to a bar. It’s rich. The dry-down is a spicy vanilla, but you’d have to wear a lot to notice it well. The more it dries, the richer it gets; the pepper gives it an incredible touch! It would be interesting to have a 30ml or 50ml bottle, but now I’m looking for something with more projection.
I must confess that the first time on the back of my hand, I couldn’t smell anything; it had hidden itself. Then I took a tissue home and started noticing something subtle but lovely. The third time was love, and I realized how wonderful it is. That dark plum is addictive. It lasts a long time on skin, though it doesn’t have tremendous projection; you mostly notice it when you get close. It wasn’t love at first sight, but addictive in the long run. You need to give it 2-3 tries.
From my perspective, it’s an extremely well-known aroma, nothing new. It reminds me of sweet supermarket blends, but with better quality—however, equally unpleasant. It gave me an almost instant headache.
Not the most original thing in the world, but it works! You’ll get compliments, and there’s something about its dry-down that I can’t quite explain but absolutely love—it’s what gives it that distinct touch. Very sexy and more versatile than I thought. That musk with the rose could be scary because it sounds like a ‘lady perfume,’ but it has none of that effect; it’s youthful without losing elegance. Like with other Narciso scents, the musk is formulated to perfection and blends seamlessly. Worth giving it patience on the first sniff to appreciate its evolution.
Yes, its plum is very similar to the one in Dior’s Poison, as one YouTuber I follow said, and I agree. However, it failed to deliver magic and performance. I don’t sense the musk or pink pepper; my nose highlights the plum and rose. I know it must have its own personality in the background and it’s a Narciso Rodríguez; I like the brand a lot, but for me it was a disappointment; I wouldn’t buy it.
Loved it. At first, I was traumatized by that intense musk that overwhelmed my senses when I tried it alongside For Her, but once I reset my nose and tested it alone, I was hooked! Nothing revolutionary, but it’s exactly what I was looking for: plum, bergamot, pink pepper, vanilla, and a subtle rose—uff, I’m already obsessed. The musk is there but doesn’t dominate, which is vital since I don’t tolerate much of it. For me, who adores these notes, it’s delicious. The only downside is it doesn’t last long 🙁
What a wonderful perfume; I have very little left, I only use it for special occasions because it’s expensive, but I like it so much I’ll buy it again. Even though I don’t like sweet scents, NR. Musc Noir Rose has a subtle sweetness, nothing heavy or childish; it’s elegant and sophisticated, and the quality is noticeable, nothing synthetic. I mainly perceive the narcissus, sweet plum, and vanilla; its dry-down is addictive, I always apply it on my wrists to feel the bursts. It’s the perfume I would have married to if I had gotten married in autumn or winter.
Girls… I’m super sad… I went to the store to try it, and it smelled delicious on paper! I sensed a hint of sweet cinnamon and plum… but it doesn’t work on my skin. I have cats and know the smell of cat pee well, so on MY skin it transformed into that; cat pee with a hint of sweet plum. I guess musk and I aren’t good friends. I’ll give it more chances to see what show it puts on… 😣
I didn’t find it special at all; it smells mainly of sweet, powdery plum with a very intimate trail.
I’ve been wearing it for a few days and I’m obsessed; I want to wear it all the time. It doesn’t have a huge trail, but it lasts forever on my skin. What I love most is the dry-down; I always sense the vanilla and musk. I don’t feel like it’s for winter; it probably works well in the cold, but in the heat it’s not overwhelming at all and is a huge joy.
It was my anniversary gift and couldn’t have been a better present. I like to wear it only with my partner when we’re alone, and he loves it. It’s a shame it barely lasts an hour or two on me 🥺🥺🥺, but I still adore the scent.
A beautiful fragrance of dark plum and white musk, 100% Narciso Rodríguez DNA, woody with a notable rose touch that makes it super feminine and interesting without being powdery or mature. For others, it’s super sensual, for night or winter, and I couldn’t disagree more. It does have that elegant perfume sensual touch; it’s warmer and sweeter than others from the house, but I find it super wearable, for daily use, and for all 365 days. Its projection and trail are moderate, but it’s compensated by good longevity (>8h). Note: it’s an intimate scent, a second skin. I’d never wear it to get attention because I think it would go unnoticed. As a perfume, I’ve loved it; it’s one of my favorites from the house.
What a pity. It smells great, but the longevity is extremely low… too bad for the price…
It smells INCREDIBLE; it’s my favorite alongside the For Her EDT. That vanilla with plum is delicious. I still think it’s not worth buying Nude if you already own this perfume. It projects well and lasts perfectly (my bottle is a year and a half old and performed even better at the start).
One of the most delicious fragrances from Narciso Rodríguez; while the plum note in the opening doesn’t grab me, the sweetened floral and musk blend into a super pleasant, feminine scent minutes later. I expected something more sensual given the hype, but I find it very versatile and ideal for daily wear. The trail is moderate, lasting about 6-7 hours on my skin. I bought a decant out of fear of the plum, but I could buy it blind. It’s on my wishlist, though I don’t see it as original enough to need it right now, but I definitely recommend trying it.
I hate it completely; it smells like a tree I can’t remember and I dislike it. Luckily, I decanted it. Edit: it smells like dried flowers, disgusting.
I went to the perfumerie looking for something clean and fresh, there were no testers, and they recommended this, big mistake. It smells strong, like incense or insecticide. Then it turns into an elegant older lady perfume, from another era, with a common taste from decades ago. In a fictional world, it would be the perfume of film noir actresses, the favorite of Stacy Malibu’s mom.
Delicious; I love it because I can perceive the declared notes, which fascinates me. It’s nocturnal and sensual. Unlike other NR scents, Musc Noir Rose lasted 4 hours, then nothing even on the skin. I’m sticking with Poudrée, Ambrée EDP, and the rectangular ‘For Her’ EDP (pale pink); they all last over 10 hours.
Simply: I love this fragrance ♥️!!!
At first I thought, ‘how ugly,’ but after 30 minutes I couldn’t stop sniffing myself and said, ‘what a wonder this is.’
One of my favorites. The projection vs. pleasure dilemma: here, pleasure wins. It doesn’t have great projection, but up close it’s an absolute miracle. Brutal sensuality, strong femininity, and a tiny dark edge that some might not like. Very in the style of Sonia Constant, similar to Musc Noir (better not to buy the other if you already have one).
I didn’t think it smelled good at all, on paper or skin; it smells like rubber, like my childhood dolls. The plum fades quickly and the musk, with an undeclared note, changes everything. Narciso is weird… mmm
I had an intense infatuation, though forced. I’m not usually a devoted NR fan, but I always used to spray this in the perfume counter. I took a while to fall in love because I don’t usually wear musks, but I felt something special. Now that I own it, it’s one of the best: unique, dark fruity musk, sexy, and glamorous. The projection is just right—not Mugler Angel level, but intimate and modest, which is where its charm and elegance lie.
Wow, double wow… what a beautiful perfume. I take back my comment that it smelled like cat urine; my nose failed. It’s an exquisite rose with fluffy vanilla that makes you want to hug yourself. Chic, with a touch of plum that makes it tender, sexy, and original. To my nose, it’s unique, adorable, and clearly a year-round scent. My new favorite, hands down.
I don’t see the quality in it. It doesn’t project or last, and there’s no plum anywhere. I don’t know why I bought it when Fleur Musk and White Musk are my favorites. I’ve always hated the ‘For Her’ line, even though I acknowledge Narciso has quality. This is an exception. No projection, no longevity, and worse than the Musc Noir I also own. I’ve decided: this house’s summit is White Musk and Fleur Musk. I’m not leaving that.
I was convinced almost halfway through the bottle. I’m a huge NR fan and ‘For Her’ is my favorite; at first, I loved it, but the longevity was disappointing—it was barely noticeable even on clothes. Once it settled, though, it’s a whole different story. I sprayed it at 8 am and after 12 hours, it’s still right on the skin. It’s a powdery, vanilla-tinged musk with rose, perfect for night and mystery. If you just bought it and don’t smell anything, let it sit for a few months and the magic happens 🥰
What a crazy perfume. I don’t get why people consider it boring. I haven’t found another with this evolution. To be honest, at 30 seconds it seemed like an old lady’s scent, but at 3 minutes I had the prettiest surprise: the rose isn’t musty, it’s vintage but not overdone, and at 15 minutes the wonderful plum with the pepper comes out, lasting 3-4 hours. Then comes the second surprise: a smoky vanilla, the best I’ve ever felt, delicate and not overwhelming, sitting on top of the plum. The next day I went to buy it; it was one of my best purchases. It’s a daytime scent at first but turns into a night perfume. I recommend trying it, giving it a few hours to settle, and deciding, because it has one of the clearest developments I’ve ever experienced.
What a wonderful rose, plum, and neroli perfume. Extremely feminine with pear and coconut. It has a soft intensity and is very pleasant. If I wanted to seem like I’m not wearing perfume but that my natural fragrance is this coquettish and magical, this is the one I’d choose. It has all the characteristics to be a signature scent for a woman who advocates for ‘less is more.’ The combination is perfect and winning. 9.6/10
Some perfumes hit like an un-lived memory. They don’t announce their arrival with a bang but settle in with an almost unnatural grace on the skin, as if they’ve always been there. Musc Noir Rose For Her by Narciso Rodriguez is one of those rare miracles. I swear I smell sandalwood, even though it’s not listed. It manifests as an old intuition, a warm echo between vanilla and plum. Maybe it’s the blend that works the magic. Pink pepper whispers, it doesn’t shout. Bergamot, light as a summer yawn, holds the plum right where the fruit is still fresh. Then, the floral heart—musk, rose, neroli—unfolds like silk. Nothing grates; everything flows with that quiet arrogance of well-made things. The base, a caress of vanilla, doesn’t sweeten; it embraces. Airy, transparent, as if someone distilled the trail of a farewell. Some perfumes want to please. This one doesn’t. This one wants to stay. And it stays.
Hmm… I tried my first perfume recommendation from ChatGPT based on my personality and tastes (LOL), and one of the ones it kept insisting on was this one… I absolutely loved it. Do you know what it reminds me of? Euphoria by Calvin Klein but without the woods, lighter and muskier. What a rich sensation. I’d classify it as a dark fruity scent. The plum—or something very similar to dark grape—stands out with an effervescent opening of bergamot and pepper (delicious). The rose is subtle but there, adding distinction and mystery to this juice. I appreciate that the opening is intense and then fades, because it’s like another version of your skin but sexier. In short, I loved it 😌😌😌 Thanks ChatGPT 🤣
Plum and musk, musk and plum… those are the top-voted notes, and I can definitely smell them. It’s a clean but sharp scent, more complex than Musc Noir. However, I don’t think I’d buy it at my age now; I’d prefer to wait because it doesn’t feel as youthful to me.
It came out a bit masculine; reminded me of an English cologne, nothing like Poison @.@, still processing and letting the sillage dry down.
Marked plum and a retro vibe. It’s an adult, formal perfume, nothing youthful. The downside is it lacks much projection and longevity: it lasts 7 hours on clothes, but the projection drops quickly after the initial burst. It works better in cold or rainy weather, where it feels cozy. If you like plum and that vintage touch, you’ll surely love it.
Sorry, but it smells like Raid (insecticide).
Caught me off guard—what a good one! At first, the citrus dominates, but I notice something distinct, like plum, which isn’t usually my thing. Then comes the rose; normally, I want to run because they tend to smell vintage on my skin and overpower everything, but here it’s balanced with the citrus and a touch of sweet vanilla. The result is a ‘Dark Feminine’ vibe, dark but not overdone, ideal for almost any season (except intense heat). It’s floral-fruity, super autumnal, and elegant. It feels a bit more mature than what I usually wear (I have sweeter things like Good Girl), lasts about 6 hours, and I think my future self will love it, even if right now I’m looking for something more noticeable and less musky.
