At first, like with this ingredient, pink pepper hits hard alongside a dominant lemon. But as that intense aroma fades, it gives way to something much friendlier. I see it as elegant, luxurious, active, youthful, and fresh, perfect for warm climates. A different kind of scent. Good performance, lasts over four hours with a moderate trail. Nice fragrance. P.S.: I’m pretty sure I’ve smelled a deodorant that smells the same, and that makes me like it less than I should.
High-quality fragrance and very citrusy. Honestly, I was surprised it lasted 7 hours with moderate projection. Worth it for a hot day.
Like all Louis Vuitton fragrances, it smells high-quality. Rich, citrusy aroma with leather in the background, ideal for hot afternoons or nights. Wearable all year. The only flaw, aside from the price, is the terrible longevity: 1 to 2 hours of strong projection, then it fades to a maximum of 5 hours on the skin. For what you pay, you expect it to last a full day. Might as well have sold my exam notes.
Sur la Route is one of Louis Vuitton’s lesser-known fragrances and, honestly, one of their best. It opens with bright, effervescent citrus and a green note. Then comes the leather, subtle in the background, unlike in other scents. Here it smells like slightly talc-treated suede, giving it a dark, elegant twist. It transports me to a green field with citrus trees on a cloudy day. Lasts 5 to 7 hours with moderate projection.
With all due respect, this perfume reminds me of that orange mosquito repellent (I can’t recall the name), the scent everyone knows. Heads up! It’s not a critique, just that it smells exactly the same.
I love this perfume, a top-tier blend of citrus and spice with that smoky touch. But watch out: Campeones 22 smells like luxury mosquito repellent. With Sur la Route, you kill two birds with one stone: you smell great and you ward off the bugs.
