A rare experience. I usually don’t seek fragrances outside my economic reality, until a kind couple showed me products from another sphere. I appreciate their simplicity and curiosity. It all started when I smelled this ‘Stellar Times’ by LV on a woman. Life happens: I rarely pay attention to other people’s perfumes, but here it was different; although the person didn’t catch my eye, the scent did, so much so that I followed her to identify it. After an awkward sip and some explanations, they let me try it. It was intense, sweet, nothing artificial, strangely earthy with a touch of orange and wood. Not intrusive, but present. Upon application, it started with that sweetness and little alcohol bite. It’s an odorous amber with dry, classic vanilla, recognizable despite its soft edges. As they told me, it’s not pure amber, but a resin with vanilla. Then it adds an extremely natural orange blossom floral, like oranges in bloom, soft, velvety, subtle, and eternal on the periphery. The base is Peruvian balsam, slightly floral vanilla, balsamic and creamy. A soft cushion that supports the orange blossom and vanilla, not sugary but sweet. Very well formulated, but expensive and overpriced if you don’t have status or ignorance of what ordinary people live with. Interesting, but no cost-effective value.

  • Another piece of junk that smells like wood cleaner or solvent. Reminds me of Alexandria II, another infamous liquid that doesn’t deserve the name perfume. Thanks to the sample, I avoided buying this trash. I don’t understand why anyone would want to smell like this.

  • A pricey indulgence, but gorgeous. It has divine amber and orange blossom notes; the woods emerge after about half an hour as it dries. I was pleasantly surprised; it leaves a trail. I’m a fan of Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. They say it’s unisex, but it smells very feminine to me; I’ll let my partner try it to decide if we share it. It’s perfect for autumn, winter, and night. Even after washing my clothes, I could still smell it while ironing. It’s the first perfume that reminds me of the old days, when scents lasted so long and were fully macerated; nowadays, you have to macerate them yourself to get that projection. It captivates with every note and has incredible longevity. Stellar goes on my main shelf: it’s expensive, but it’s worth it.

Nothing surprising, simple and frugal, but it’s so well-made that it makes you feel protected. Many find it feminine, but I (a man over 50) love it for what it evokes in me and the reactions it provokes.

It’s my signature scent for cold weather: smells incredible and I’ve gotten so many compliments. Worth every euro, you can really tell the quality. Alongside Symphony, these are my favorite LV scents.
