Very good Rasasi perfume. I’m not an expert at identifying ingredients, but in the opening I notice cardamom, a scent I neither like nor dislike, but combined with the rest it gives a very spicy aspect, perhaps due to the pepper, and nothing unpleasant. Once it settles, notes come in that soften the initial spiciness. When it dries, it leaves a balsamic scent; I notice guaiac wood and amber, and it stays like that for hours. It has remarkable longevity, at least 12 hours, with outstanding trail and projection. This Sotor Waaw has character and intensity, so I recommend not over-applying: one on the chest and one on the back of each wrist, nothing on the neck, because it could tire out both those around you and you. For me, it’s a great discovery in a blind buy, my first from an Arabian house, and I’m pleasantly surprised by the aroma, quality, development, and performance. The quality-price ratio is excellent. I’ve worn it during the day, although I see it’s more for night; it works well in winter and during the day in autumn, but in spring it seems risky, I’ll try it anyway. Absolutely forbidden in summer.
Sotor Waaw… ¡waaaaaoou! A sweet, fresh, spicy sandalwood, very unisex and soft. It becomes smokier after half an hour. Although it doesn’t have musk, I perceive a hint in its dry-down. ¡Muuuy rico! 10 out of 10.
This Rasasi fragrance was a tremendous surprise: no alcohol smell, premium designer quality. It opens with a cinnamon that’s one of the few I like, more powdery than sweet, clean cardamom, pepper, and saffron, all very well combined. Powerful but not loud. It doesn’t have a huge evolution; it starts with the top notes and then the cardamom fades a bit, revealing a touch of fresh lavender without being sharp. I don’t detect cedar or vetiver. Quality throughout, not tiring, gives a cozy feeling. Perfect for autumn, any occasion, easy to wear, and versatile for cold weather, with nothing harsh. Projects very well, about 1.5 meters for 2 or 3 hours, and lasts over 8 hours. For under €40, it’s a 10/10. Scent: 7.8, Longevity: 8.1, Projection: 7.7, Emotional: Yes, Originality: 6. Highly recommended.
This Rasasi is a huge surprise: zero alcohol, premium quality, and a dusty (not sweet) cinnamon paired with clean cardamom, pepper, and saffron. Everything is potent but never harsh. It doesn’t evolve much; it starts with the top notes, then the cardamom fades into a soft, non-pungent lavender touch. I don’t detect cedar or vetiver, but the quality is consistent: it’s not tiring, feels cozy, and is perfect for autumn or any occasion. Easy to wear, versatile for cold weather, and without any brashness. Projects well (1.5m for 2-3 hours) and lasts 8+ hours. For under €40, it’s a 10/10. May 2021 batch. Scent: 7.8, Longevity: 8.1, Projection: 7.7, Emotional: Yes, Originality: 6. Highly recommended.
To be very honest. I bought a decant of the Rasasi Sotor line thinking it was the most durable… it was a waste. Rasasi has never disappointed me before, but this is the worst investment. The box and bottle are basic, the label is glued on with rubber, the atomizer is rudimentary, and the scent is very simple, like a celebrity perfume. All Sotor scents are good, but this is the worst and falls short on longevity and projection. It’s a simple unisex sweet scent with a hint of cardamom that doesn’t last or project. Don’t spend money on this; there are better things for less. From Rasasi, I recommend Shurha, Yuqawan, or Fattan, but this Sotor line is a disaster.
It’s 97% similar to Armand Basi Pour Homme, but with a more pronounced sweetness. Longevity goes over 10 hours, and projection is strong for the first two hours, very intense. After that, it stays closer to the skin, a bit synthetic like most Rasasi fragrances, but understandable given its low cost.
The performance is excellent in longevity, sillage, and projection, just like the 99% of reviews say. The opening is a spicy explosion of cinnamon and cardamom that settles into a dominant, yet light and very soapy, cinnamon note. It sounds like a more wearable reinterpretation of Bentley For Man Intense: here it’s toned down, soapy, and lacks the rum-like alcohol of BFM (which is a beast in longevity but very formal and disliked by some). Compared to Bentley, this ‘Sootor Waw’ is highly recommended, a safe blind buy, appealing to most and super versatile. Don’t overuse it in summer. I disagree with those who say it doesn’t project: this perfume slaps hard, and you won’t go unnoticed.
Excellent longevity, trail, and projection, just like the 99% of reviews say. The opening is a spicy explosion of cinnamon and cardamom, which then settles with that dominant cinnamon note—nothing heavy, very soapy. It sounds like a more wearable reinterpretation of Bentley For Man Intense (less intense, soapy, and without the rum of BFM, which is a bomb but very formal and suffocating). Verdict: Sotor Waaw is highly recommended, a safe buy, suitable for most tastes, and super versatile. Don’t overuse it in summer. I disagree with the previous review because this fragrance slaps hard; you won’t go unnoticed.
I bought this beast last year and already know I’ll need to refill it. While it’s not the most natural scent I’ve ever heard, for the price I paid, it’s the best in my entire collection. The opening and dry-down are killer; it’s sweet and spicy, and it’s already filled me with compliments for autumn and winter. What a delight, one of the best I’ve tried this year.
A unique perfume at an excellent price, ideal for both heat and cold, very pleasant with good projection and longevity. I even got it in tester form, which makes it an even better deal.
Unique perfume and great value. Works perfectly in both cold and hot weather. I absolutely love it; it projects well and has great longevity. Plus, I got it as a tester, so the final price is even better.
