Bought blind. Upon testing, I thought it smelled like Jean Paul Gaultier’s Le Male and I looked like an idiot, but as it dried down, it started to distinguish itself from that fragrance. It’s undeniable that they are very similar, but Sea God is less dense and more “acidic” and sharp. It’s a scent that won’t turn heads, and honestly, I’m a bit disappointed; I expected something more original. However, aside from originality, it smells good and will please almost everyone.
A very pleasant perfume, reminiscent of Le Male but with its differences… it doesn’t win medals for originality, but that doesn’t mean it loses points for quality and price. Said all of that, for now I don’t plan to sell or swap it, but when it runs out, if that ever happens, I don’t think I’ll buy it again.
It’s a fragrance that smells primarily clean. I don’t like talking about individual notes unless one stands out; I prefer to see it as a whole. It evokes clean white clothes washed with a classic soap, drying on a clothesline with the sea in the background. It’s perfect for everyday summer wear. Great value for money.
Smells clean, it’s a personal scent with a low sillage. On my unfortunate dry skin, it lasts only 3 to 4 hours—the longevity is poor, but the price and quality are worth it.
It smells clean, it’s a personal fragrance with little sillage, and on my skin it lasts no more than 3 to 4 hours. It smells great, but the longevity is poor on my skin. Still, the price and quality are worth it.
I think Sea God is misleading with its name: I don’t see any sea anywhere, it’s clean, simple, and soapy. The initial citrus fades quickly; as it dries, you notice the cedar (that pencil shavings smell), but the musky notes carry the weight. It smells like expensive soap. Beyond the name, it’s a good perfume. It’s great for casual wear, close, and very likable; you smell like a tidy uncle. The longevity is decent (about 5 hours) and encourages reapplication. The bottle takes up no space and is mysteriously long-lasting; I use it for several days and the liquid doesn’t go down. Perceived quality is very good; despite its simplicity, it feels niche. And the kicker is the price: 45€ for 50ml of an author perfume, versatile, clean, and easy to wear, I think it’s more than well worth it.
To sum up, it smells like soap: bergamot and cedar are noticeable at the start and end, but what dominates throughout is that soapy, musky note. It’s like washing your hands with a good soap and smelling them afterward; a clean scent, like just stepping out of the shower. It reminds me a bit of Montblanc’s Starwalker. The price is top-notch, it doesn’t annoy anyone, it’s not a bomb or an original aroma, but it’s decent, I like it.
