It’s a versatility challenge, but the quality shines. Smoky, dark patchouli (maybe plums, dates?) soaked in moldy oud, black woods with a balsamic touch and leather. The opening is so characteristic it scares off many, with an almost carbonized sandalwood that adds up. The rum is intense, as if the smoked woods fell right into the bottle, giving it great depth. In the dry down, it smells like a damp basement—a strange but rewarding twist. It’s a top-tier experience, but lacks versatility for any occasion. As always, your skin decides; test before you buy.

I don’t get along with this house’s patchouli; for my nose, it’s too strong and intrusive, overpowering all the other notes.

What a delightful surprise. Sandalwood leads the opening, but the evolution is dreamlike: amber, liquorice, and sweet woody tones. I absolutely loved it and it has become my favorite alongside Kalotinis’ Tobacco Maniac. It’s wonderful, warm, sensual, unisex, and perfect for cool or cold weather.
