  I apply it from a distance because the opening notes are strong (sweet orange, blackberry, and potent benzoin)… or maybe it’s my spray bottle, haha. It’s very energetic, citrusy-sweet, feminine, and warm, perfect for cold climates. Be careful, many will want it for summer. The best part is the trail: amber, orchid, and orange, very cozy and sexy, like wearing the tropics on your skin. It smells like my grandma’s garden with flowers and oranges at 37°C. Now I think it smells like sweetened hibiscus tea with orange slices. This is Scarlet Rain! I received it from someone special and I’m happy to have it.

  I smell too much benzoin, and on my skin it turns rancid. Although I detect a citrus note, the oriental aspect doesn’t come through; it ends up more like a semi-sweet spicy scent that doesn’t work for me. I won’t be buying it again—I gave it to my sister as a gift.

  At first, it smells like orange, then shifts to floral, with a warm, honeyed, earthy base. I love it; I imagine drinking tea with orange under the rain in a garden. It’s orange, flowers, wet earth, and a hint of honey.

  I picked this up on sale without knowing the brand. It smelled like water with a scent to me; the fragrance was soft and pleasant but faded in an instant, so I won’t be buying it again.
