Descripción
Resort Lovers by Mandarina Duck is a musky floral woody fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2020, this olfactory composition was created by nose Veronique Nyberg. The top notes reveal aldehydes, violet leaves, and bergamot; the floral heart unfolds with lily of the valley, osmanthus, and rose; while the base notes close the pyramid with tonka bean, cypriol, and patchouli.

I’ve tried the whole collection, and this is the one I liked the most. It’s quite simple in its evolution, basically white musk. But its opening has some strange shifts that left me confused, between floral/herbal for a few minutes… then pure white musk in the style of Body Shop or Tesori d’Oriente. It’s true that it’s not remarkable and I suppose it won’t grab many people’s attention; that’s the danger of unisex scents, but there were a few minutes at the start that hooked me. It lasts decently but fades to skin-level quickly.
At first, it smells weird, oscillating between nail polish, men’s cologne, lotion, and something herbal… but after a few minutes, the perfect clean scent I’ve never dreamed of emerges! It’s talcum-musked with a sunscreen vibe and works for any occasion. What a pity I didn’t discover it sooner; from this collection, I only knew Freedomland, and I like this one more. Haven’t checked the sillage yet, but at 16 euros, if it lasts a bit, it’s a 10. EDIT 04/08/2023: I put it on last night at 10 PM after showering, and at 2 PM today I can still smell it. It lasted 17 hours on my skin!
As the name suggests, it smells exactly like spas. It’s a super clean scent reminiscent of fabric softener, but distinct from others in the style like Blanche by Byredo or Narciso. It feels more aromatic, with a noticeable touch of violet. However, there’s a note that clashes with me, especially at the start. It’s not something I’d wear, though I’d love to smell it on towels or bed linens. Honestly, for the price, the performance is brutal: noticeable sillage and 12 hours of longevity on my skin. If you like the smell, it’s a clean, affordable perfume worth it. Scent 5.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 10/10, Value 8/10, Versatility 5/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy again? No, I didn’t.
