  1. It’s a captivating fragrance where davana, whisky, and vetiver really shine. I bought it and enjoyed it a ton until it felt too masculine and I stopped using it. It’s a great scent for cold days and nights.

  2. It smells like davana, whisky, and vetiver at full blast. I loved it at first, but then it felt too masculine and I stopped wearing it. Perfect for cold days or nights.

  3. I read the storytelling and thought it would be whisky and leather, a masculine scent. But Fragrantica’s notes don’t match what it actually smells like: it’s sweet, powdery, fruity, and vanilla-forward, then woody, very unisex, even leaning feminine, which repulses me. Maybe it’s my fault for expecting something like Baraonda or Tartan Cask, but it smells very synthetic and generic, without any soul.

It’s a hymn to davana, that sacred Indian herbaceous plant—a monsoon treasure for its careful cultivation and wild scarcity—that boosts energy and combats depression. They say it smells different on each person, something highly valued in luxury perfumery. It’s warm, fruity, and herbaceous at first, then becomes more woody and powerful with sweet facets that add elegance. This blend makes it a velvety jewel, slightly smoked by the whisky and patchouli accord in the dry down. It’s my favorite after Fantasque in the collection.
