To sum it up, this is one of my favorites. My mom gifted it to me when I was a teenager, and I fell in love with it instantly. It’s a super delicious ambered vanilla—neither too strong nor intrusive. 100% recommended.
It’s a potent vanilla scent; if I wear it on my clothes, I can maybe catch the jasmine notes. It doesn’t last long on me, like an hour. If you love smelling like a vanilla cookie, you’ll adore this perfume.
If you want to start with Shakira’s perfumes, this is the perfect starting point (and then I’d go for Rock). It’s a beautiful ambered aroma. When dry, it smells very similar to Naomi Campbell’s signature scent from back in the 2000s. It’s an unbeatable combo: vanilla, amber, and jasmine; everyone will love it.
I like it as an affordable alternative to Dior Addict EDT. I wear it for lounging at home, dropping my son off at school, running errands at the supermarket, or even for yoga.
I was gifted this when I was 17. I don’t remember the exact scent anymore, but I guess I liked it because I used to finish it so fast, haha. I also remember my first boyfriend absolutely loved when I wore it. I wish I could smell it again; the olfactory memory it evokes is incredible.
I’ve had this fragrance for years, and it’s nothing childish to me. On my skin, it smells quite mature—it’s a serious but rich scent. What stands out is the floral and slightly sweet amber notes. I love it and have received many compliments, especially from guys. It also has good sillage (for the first 4-5 hours) and longevity, about 7 hours.
I was gifted this when I was quite a teenager. The moment I smelled it, I knew I had to switch to something else. It smelled so sweet that it was unpleasant to me. It made me dizzy and gave me a headache. Plus, the atomizer was terrible quality and very uncomfortable to use. A total horror.
The creaminess of the vanilla and the sandalwood wood notes blend beautifully with the jasmine on my skin. It’s like spraying the essence of vanilla baking extract but with a floral and slightly woody touch. Delicious for anyone who likes that scent; I wear it on cool days and it lasts about 3 hours, then I need to reapply.
This is my first review here, though I’ve been following it for years. I’ve had this celebrity fragrance for two years and don’t always wear it because I alternate with others. I don’t feel it’s for teenagers; the first time I smelled it, it reminded me of YSL Paris from 1983, which my favorite aunt used in the late 90s (except this one has a vanilla touch); both smell like makeup. Maybe the S is for a younger age range than Paris, but it’s impossible not to compare them. I like wearing it in autumn and spring; it’s too heavy for summer and would go unnoticed in winter.
It reminds me a bit of Paris Hilton’s Gold Rush; it’s sweet and fruity. The sandalwood gives it a really nice touch; I love it.
I gave it away because it gave me headaches. Even when I sprayed it lightly, I always ended up the same way: dizzy, and it wasn’t worth a second chance.

I got it as a 15th birthday gift; it was sweet, warm, and lasted about 5-6 hours. It’s a scent most people would like, ideal for teens because it’s sweet and youthful, and at that price, perfect for everyday use. Although it’s not special, I wouldn’t buy it again at 26. At the time, I preferred the S Eau Florale, its flanker, which I bought again years later. Still, I recommend the flanker over this one, but as an affordable gift, it’s a great option for teenagers.

I find it very sweet and intense. At first, it’s not bothersome, but if you wear it every day, it eventually becomes tiring. It has good longevity and a super strong sillage; I’ve smelled it on other people and on clothes, and it lasts a long time. It’s a good fragrance, but only for those who love sweet scents.
How curious how differently we perceive scents! To me, Shakira’s S always sounded extremely sweet, warm, slightly powdery, ambered, and sugary, with spectacular longevity. When I wore it in school, it lasted from morning shower to night, impossible! It felt very heavy in hot climates; the ideal setting is a beachy climate with sun and fresh breezes. I remember it fondly; it’s still available in my country at a very accessible price, cheaper than a Victoria’s Secret perfume and with a lot to envy regarding longevity, development, and design. Of course, it’s not high-end, but it works more than well and presents a delicious, creamy, warm vanilla. I don’t know of similar perfumes at this price range.
A beautiful perfume I won’t forget. I used it back around 2010 for a long time. I’ve looked for it, but it’s not easy to find; I’ve only seen it online at a very high price. Maybe it’s discontinued, what a shame. Although it’s a celebrity fragrance, I loved it; it gives a sweet and adorable aura.
I had it and used it until the last drop. This one and Rock Love are crowd-pleasers, for everyday wear. The S is a pleasant but very common fragrance, nothing particular. Still, it’s very usable and not tiring. I don’t dislike it, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again.
The scent isn’t unpleasant, however, I just didn’t like it. It’s very fresh, almost citrusy on my skin; I smell a lot of alcohol at first and don’t detect any vanilla. No sillage or projection… such a generic perfume I couldn’t identify it among others. There are many body mists with better performance and at a lower price. I wouldn’t buy it again.
I had two small bottles (I gave one away because someone gave me another), and honestly, it’s not a scent I dislike; in fact, I used it quite a bit during my last year of school. However, it’s not a scent that drives me wild, and given my budget, I don’t want to buy it again. It’s fine for gifting, as it’s not intrusive or expensive.
I applied it slowly and boom! The opening is almost identical to Mugler’s Alien. What exquisite jasmine, but while Alien stays in that Edenic bath, ‘S’ after about 5 hours turns sweet, sugary vanilla. That deflates the fragrance’s impact; that’s why some find it cheap or horrible. Personally, I don’t like how it ends… But hey, it’s a good alternative if you love jasmine but don’t always have the budget for high-end. It’s like a distant cousin: matches the first hour but then goes its own way. I still like it and will keep buying it.
I’ve had it for years and it’s not one of my favorites, but it’s a perfectly normal one, nothing more. It’s pleasant, sweet, original, and not overpowering. I haven’t felt the short longevity others complain about, though it’s the same as everyone else. What I do recognize is that the packaging I received has the best boxes you can hold in your hands, everything included.
A PERFUME WITHOUT GLORY OR SHAME. IT DOESN’T LAST AND IS VERY COMMON. Very short longevity, smells like vanilla and light jasmine; the amber adds some creaminess, but it’s a repetitive scent. Buy it only if you’re into very soft, classic perfumes. When you get used to high-end and someone gifts you something like this, you don’t know whether to return it or cry.
Terrible, smells like expired makeup. I wonder if the people who write such glowing reviews instead of spraying it on themselves are just kidding themselves, lol.
It was delicious the first time I smelled it, I loved it. Every time it runs out, I buy it again; it’s the only one that happens with it 🙂
If you like very vanilla, common, and very volatile scents, this is your option. It’s unpleasant, like smelling a woman who smells like custard.
I really like it, it has good longevity on skin and clothes for a cologne. To me, it smells like a vanilla doll or makeup. It’s a very rich scent with soft vanilla, jasmine, and a powdery touch.
It’s a warm amber-colored perfume that’s pleasant, though it doesn’t last long and is quite simple. To me, it reminds me of amber by its color. The bottle is too simple for my taste, and besides, it’s neither pretty nor practical. Once you start using it, you stop putting the ring on to close it, and then without the cap, it feels like something is missing. Anyway, as a mass-market fragrance with Shakira’s image, it’s attractive. I bought it because it was on sale, but I’d do it again.
