Descripción

Royal Mayfair by Creed is a floral fruity gourmand fragrance for men and women. This composition was launched in 2015 under the olfactory direction of Olivier Creed. The top notes unfold a vibrant accord of pine, gin, and lime; the heart reveals the delicacy of rose; while the base notes anchor the fragrance with the freshness of eucalyptus, the warmth of cedar, and the citrus of orange.

  • Fantastic Creed combination with an opening of eucalyptus, pine, and rose. It evolves little into a very comfortable, fine, and classy woody floral dry-down. It gives me the sensation that the residual scent smells like narcotic ylang or fine jasmine that envelops you. For daytime use and very unisex. I loved it. Rating: 9.

  • I bought Royal Mayfair blindly because I’m a lover of eucalyptus. Upon spraying, it’s an olfactory crossover of common notes: rose with a strange citrus accord, wood, eucalyptus, and gin. This gives a bitter spirit to the rose and eucalyptus, generating an impression similar to a non-sweet ginger ale tonic with a strong floral mirage. In the early dry-down, I feel it’s saturated, the least good phase. But upon application, it reveals its beauty. It’s not sexy or trendy; it’s sober with Mediterranean hints, feminine and masculine at moments. Suitable for all four seasons, robust, and perfect for daytime. In short, it has a lot of class; the ginger ale scent is comforting and tonic, adding a luminous cleanliness aura with a slight feminine inclination. Ingredient quality at 100%. On my skin, it lasts 8h with excellent projection for the first 3h and reactivations depending on temperature.

  • One of the most interesting perfumes from Creed. Opens strangely with an alcoholic note (gin) that’s not very pleasant. It evolves into a white floral with very faint and muted woody and earthy nuances; it lacks body and definition here. If we use our imagination, you can notice the pine and eucalyptus. The final phase is the best: clean, musky white floral, very unisex, comfortable, addictive, and well-executed. Surprisingly, I haven’t smelled rose in any phase; it leans more towards jasmine. Review of a 120ml bottle; now it seems reformulated to 100ml. Performance is good for a Creed: maybe around 6h, with a moderate trail. The price, as always, is disproportionate.

  • What a beautiful fragrance. The opening might scare some (it smells a bit like a dentist’s office…), but you have to let it evolve—that’s where all the magic of its ingredients comes out—all top quality. A unique, fresh, and well-aromatic eucalyptus is its standout note; I detect a rose that accompanies it subtly yet very elegantly. Its evolution and development are truly wonderful. Lasted over 8 hours on my skin (with just 3 sprays), with projection around 4 hours. A quality fragrance to enjoy. So far, among the Creeds I’ve tried (Adventus and Cologne), Mayfair is my favorite.

  • What a beautiful fragrance. The opening might scare more than one person (it seems like a dentist’s office), but you have to let it evolve to see the magic of its quality components. The eucalyptus is unique, fresh, and aromatic, with a subtle and elegant rose. The evolution is a wonder. It lasted over 8h on my skin with just 3 applications and projection around 4h. A quality perfume to enjoy. Among the Creeds I’ve tried (Aventus and Cologne), Mayfair is my favorite.

  • It is English elegance and class in a bottle. If I swallow the story that it smells like royalty, that’s exactly what it smells like: a green, dusty, woody opening, like being stuck to a pine tree or a bottle of Tanqueray. The gin scent is exquisite and intoxicating. As soon as it dries, the magic arrives: it surely has ambergris, that smell of a rose field with a summer breeze and a semi-bitter base like in Millesime Imperial and Bois du Portugal. The rose and woods are linear but it screams money, power, and distinction. For untrained noses, it might smell like an old rich lady, but then it’s a masterpiece. Batch 2016, lasts 8-10h on skin and up to 48h on clothes. Trail is very notable. Seems discontinued due to the eucalyptus; if you can find it, get it before the price goes up like Aventus. For me, it’s a 9/10.

  • The opening is sharp and can be scary if you don’t like pine and eucalyptus. The good stuff is in the dry-down: a fine, bright ensemble. It’s ideal for changeable weather days. You have to apply it without fear because the projection is weak (though the opening is strong). A new version has already been released; we’ll have to see the differences. Important: test on skin, smelling the opening alone isn’t enough.

@SebaaRTX Ambergris doesn’t smell like feces, and natural ambergris is rarely used anyway. Chromatography analyses of Creed perfumes show they use ambroxan, not ambergris. The fecal nuances come from undeclared white flowers or perhaps eucalyptus.

Came to confirm that, as a Creed fan, Royal Mayfair is the most interesting one I’ve tried. The opening can be aggressive, bitter, or even unpleasant for some, but the floral heart and aromatic wood base are formidable. It has beastly potency with moderate projection; ideally, it should caress rather than hit. I will definitely buy it someday.
